Yes, it is Red Rocks. It's a very cool place...a physical workout for sure, lots of stairs and lower oxygen content in the air can make it challenging at times...lol...but a must see if you're up in the Denver area. It's a park, open to the public. If you go on a day when there's nothing scheduled, you can walk around the entire place!

Sounds great, zepscoda!  I'll have to check out their concert calendar for 2017.  Sounds fun to walk around, too.  Thanks for the info. :)

That's how I feel about you and the many other members here who have blessed me with words of encouragement and love.

I know animals, well.  I've never met a stranger in the animal kingdom.

What a nice thing to say, Walter!  And you have given out a fair share of love and encouragement yourself.  It's definitely what makes the world go around. :)

What a beautiful little girl you have there, Dd!  Looks like she's on top of things with that cute glare she has.  Glad everyone is having a great Friday! :)

Thanks, Walter and ebk.  Yes, Walter, you spotted the 'look', Missy doesn't miss a thing!

    Love the quote, so true!

What an interesting breakfast that is DD? Like fried bread with an egg in the middle? Dippy egg and the accompanying soldiers is a traditional English classic for breakkie

Our motto: Live to eat not eat to live. Food is one of life's  pleasures, along with wine, and we take our meals very seriously. Everything cooked from fresh and we like to have a balanced diet without the need to watch what we eat. Of course there are times when a Pizza Marinara hits the spot, but as a rule the kitchen is the busiest room in the house.

Anyway i must now attach the pinny and get cracking on the curry. eeemmmm a glass of red I think! Enjoy your day and evening DD :drinks:

    Thanks, cp, great motto! :yesnod:

And I agree with ebk.  Guard your address, or me and ebk just might make a surprise visit one day.  Around supper time. We'll bring the red.  ;)

Hasn't come up here yet. My eastern view is a little blocked, but it's still light outside here, it will be up higher in the sky soon and I'll see it...Seen it last night, looked marvelous!

I hope you get to see it, luvlz2.  I believe it's even bigger and brighter than last night's beautiful moon.

  6. ^^^ Ha! I had no idea there would be two dishes with the same strange name of toad in a hole.  Here is a pic of the 'other' version.  Learned how to make this in Home Ec many moons ago.  Simple but oh so good.  If you cook it with a runny yolk, I thought it might taste similar to the dippy egg.  Btw, dippy sounds very trippy.  And groovy. :)

And, as always, your meal sounds delicious!  I love how mealtime at your house is always a special celebration.  Just as it should be.

Early rising today as we have workmen in the house. A dippy egg and wholemeal soldiers, OJ, toast and marmalade

Had to crawl out from under my southern rock to google dippy egg and soldiers. ;)  Sounds yummy!  My similar (yet different) version would be toad in a hole.

  8. Wow, that is beautiful, Walter!  Know you can't wait to be in it!

Jack and Ginger sounds yummy, ledzepfvr! My Friday wind down drink was sangria. Just right for the boat ride with my little girl, Missy. I could post every single day about how happy she makes me, but y'all might get a little tired of that. ;) She is sassy and fearless, and she is a sweetheart. ❤️

Thanks Dd!  We definitely dodged a bullet.  50 miles to the west and we'd been in trouble.  Central Floridas coast is a mess.  Crazy pictures.  People are only being allowed out there if they can prove they in fact live there.

We are having a spectacular day today also!  Finally fall is here!  Junior and I drove into downtown with the top down in the Camaro this morning.  Glad you're having terrific weather also!  Thank you for the well wishes! ✌?️

You bet! Yeah, I've seen pics of the flooding and know several folks who have traveled to Georgia to help with restoration. That was one massive storm!

Perfect weather for riding with the top down!! Enjoy!!

Yes, that is an awesome view!! :)

  10. Walter and Paul, it sounds like you fared pretty well in Hurricane Matthew.  Hoping everything is well on its way to normal.  Thank goodness! :)

Strider, such a lovely pic, I love a pink and purple sunset...and those trees! ❤️

We are enjoying the best weather month on the Mississippi gulf coast.  This morning is a sunny and crisp 68°F.

  11. Hoping for the best to you, Walter, and to others on the forum affected by Hurricane Matthew.  Coming from a hurricane prone area, I know all you can do is prepare as well as possible, get the heck out of there if needed, and then just wait it out.  The first responders and utility workers will be there quickly to restore what is able to be restored, and then the clean up begins.  You have likely been through all of this many times before, but it doesn't make it less traumatic, you just learn each time how to be a little more prepared.

Let us know how you fare.

p.s. I hate to even say this, but did I hear that the storm may circle back for round 2?  Geesh.  Stay hunkered down.
