  1. ^ugh.

Doesn't sound fun to me at all!

I got to baby sit my niece today! I rarely get to do this at my own home, because my sister's a stay-at-home-mom while she works on school. My sister also lives with my mom and my other sister, so she's usually got plenty of help when she needs it.

We had fun! We took a (very short) walk (it was really hot), then we played in the water.

I was sad when it was time for her to leave. :(

  2. I had these sausages for lunch today that were absolutely wonderful.

They brand is Sausages by Amylu, and the flavor is Tequila & Lime Chicken sausage. I had two--100 calories, 4g of fat, 11g of protein each for lunch. I grilled them and put a bit of mustard on the side! Yum!

I got 'em at Costco--$14 for 3 lbs, but it was well worth it!

  3. I didn't get the job. Most schools around here tell you that you're not allowed to call principals, etc., while waiting to hear on the job, therefore, I didn't.

My baby sister started 11th grade today. She's a junior in high school! I can't believe it--it makes me feel old.

  4. I hate spray tan, because it always ends up looking really stupid.

Vaseline doesn't do anything for me. I've tried. I do lotion, etc., but they're still rough, etc., and I need to scrub them.

I've been sitting outside with sun attractant on with a cleverly placed towel over places I don't want to have a sunburn on. :o

  5. Because I dye my hair a darker shade than it is naturally, I always use professional color shampoos I have noticed a difference in how long the hair color sticks. It stays much longer if you use the shampoos formulated for color. My hair dresser told me that if I really don't want to buy professional products, to be sure that there is not "aluminum" something or other in the ingredients list on your shampoos. That's the major difference between on the shelf shampoo and the so-called "professional" ones.

I do see a HUGE difference when I use on the shelf hairspray versus professional hairspray. I have very fine, yet very thick, straight hair. It's heavy and unwieldy. I use Soya Want Sexy Hair? by Big Sexy Hair. I love it. I use a little, and my hair stays put all day!

Now...ladies, what to use to get your feet in decent condition? I've been scrubbing them and scrubbing them, and scrubbing them, but a summer of sandals has taken its toll on my feet!

Another one: How do I fix my silly tan line? I have a swimsuit strap tan line, and my friend's wedding is in a month. I need to fix it because my bridesmaid dress looks silly with the white white non-tanned part showing. ;)

  6. ^LOL

I had to go bridesmaid dress shopping today. Though I didn't want to do it, I found a decent dress, and thankfully, my best friend isn't a bridezilla.

I paid more for a dress than I would like to have, but it looks good on me, and it's a nice color. I'd actually wear it again if I had the occasion.

  7. ^Awesome! Great job! I always say I want to run, but truth be told, I just HATE it.

Tangerine, I hope you have a great vacation. I've been out of school since July 31st, and I haven't really done anything other than hang around the house. It's been kind of boring--it was nice the first few days off, but now it's very, very boring.

  8. I don't know.... there were over 400 in my HS graduating class....

Our 10 year Reunion took place in big Hotel Ballroom, as the HS gym would have been a little crowded with the alums and their wives...

Funny thing about the 10 yr reunion.... the assholes of the school... were still very much so.

It was the 20 yr reunion that showed who these people really were.... by looks and by attitude.... The class joker was now an uptight investment banker.... That ahole was just working the HS "system" because he could.... I know God's just, because he had kids, who became teens one day, and you see.... there's the payback... !!!! God's not in a hurry in squaring things off .... He's got All of the Time in the World !!

I was on the 10 year reunion committe of my high school's reunion.

    It was this July.

We had it a combination of places: first at the actual school, second at a park (a picnic for families), the third at a hotel banquet room, and the last back at the school again.

We had 500 graduates in my class. Only about 90 signed up to go! :o

  9. ^I LOVE A Brave New World!

I wasn't sure if I would, but I read it because it was on the list for a book report I had to do for a MATH class, and I loved it.

I'm reading Lost Horizon by James Hilton. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to use it in my night school class instead of The Odyssey.

If all else fails, I may do both.

  10. So your Monday will be a MONDAY! If you can wait. Though I doubt you can let it go a night! laugh.gif

    I bet a fiver she'll be folding by 9pm! beer.gif

    It's 9:34pm and I haven't touched it!

I haven't done much of anything again today!

I took my business suit to the cleaners to be be cleaned and pressed, along with my other "school clothes." I'm having company over for dinner tomorrow night, so I really should do some housework. LOL

As a former educator, that sounds VERY promising. Hiring individuals don't bother themselves with references unless they intend to extend a job offer. wink.gif

    Yes!

My mentor teacher called me this afternoon to tell me he talked with her for about fifteen minutes today about me too!

    Yesss!

I didn't have to cook dinner tonight.

...and tonight is the fourth night in a row that I've had a nice walk in the evening sun.

One thing I love about Idaho in the summer: It's light outside until 10pm. However, it's 9:38 now, and it's pretty dark. Summer IS coming to an end. :(
