  1. You know, now that would be AWESOME, if it were to actually ever happen!! We can all dream can't we, LOL.
  2. Yes it is and you're very welcome. I look forward to Hazel's weekly columns, she's very witty!!
  3. At CMT.com there is a weekly column written by a lady named Hazel Smith and here is what she said about Robert and Alison's Grammy nods: "Now, what about the nominations for Alison Krauss and Robert Plant? My friend Alison and her pal Plant have fiddle-farted around to receive three nominations for the same record in three different categories -- pop, country and folk/Americana! Does that top your cotton? Chalk one up for Alison. She doesn't care what the powers-that-be call her music. She's blessed to sing whatever she likes." "Fiddle-farted" & "top your cotton", now I have never heard those words before!! Here is the link to the whole column if you are interested: http://www.cmt.com/news/hot-dish/1602970/h...minations.jhtml
  4. The newer stuff. I love compilations! Here is the link to the website: http://www.nowthatsmusic.com
  5. "I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan, is certainly uplifting!! I also like "I Will Survive"-Gloria Gaynor and I'll Stand By You-Pretenders. There are tons more but this is all I can think of right now.
  6. Since You've Been Gone-Kelly Clarkson
  7. Hi zepyep, I agree about Rod or Ronnie doing the inducting as well, but it would be so wonderful to see Jimmy!
  8. A few NOW That's What I Call Music Compilations: 10th Anniversary Edition Motown Edition Country Edition
  9. I was watching CNN and they were talking about all the happenings coming up Tuesday. They showed Obama at the Lincoln Memorial where alot of singers performed at the concert(to be shown on HBO tonight) and other celebs in attendance and showed him shaking hands and greeting all of them: Bono, John Legend, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, John Bon Jovi, Shakira, Queen Latifah, Ashley Judd, Marisa Tomei, Sheryl Crow, Jennifer Nettles........ they were all psyched meeting the new President!! I wish I could be there, that's for sure, but when I get home from work on Tuesday I will be glued to all of the news stations.
  10. I wish I could've heard more of her fiddle though. Yeah between the fiddle, Slash's guitar and Stevie Wonder's harmonica, that would've been a song all by itself, LOL!!
  11. Look what I found on YouTube. Wish Alison would've sung though, otherwise great group of stars up there singing a great Beatles tune. This is from the Grammys 2005: Never know what might happen at this year's show.
  12. Great list and congrats to all of them. Hope Jimmy makes it to this year's ceremony to induct Jeff Beck. That would be a real treat!!
  13. Almost Over You-Sheena Easton
  14. Argent-Hold Your Head Up, one of my all-time faves!! "Cruel Summer" was also a huge hit for them in the US. Also, "I Heard A Rumor" was a minor hit, but it wasn't as big as "Venus" or "Cruel Summer".
  15. Thanks so much for sharing these video clips! YouTube is great at catching all of this rare footage, I am so addicted! It was nice to hear Jimmy speaking at the beginning of the Paul Rodgers set. Both he and Steve did a great job with this song. Lucky you getting to attend the MSG show!
  16. Those videos were great and glad it went to such a great cause. They should do more performing together in the future.
  17. He was such a cool dude and I didn't realize he was 88! I watched Fantasy Island all the time as a child and remembered him always saying at the beginning of each episode "smiles everyone, smiles". May he R.I.P.
  18. ^^Great video! Talk about an All-star jam, there was Clapton, Page, Beck, Paul Rodgers, Joe Cocker, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts all jamming "Layla" onstage together. Jimmy seemed to really be enjoying himself and it was funny when he tapped Clapton on the shoulder and they both just smiled!
  19. Oh yes, how could I forget "Ten Years Gone", "That's The Way" or "Tangerine"? They are all great!
