  1. I haven't seen Mamma Mia (well, I saw the stage version, does that count?), but I always, always, always think of Jimmy when I hear Voulez - Vous. People everywhere A sense of expectation hanging in the air Giving out a spark Across the room your eyes are glowing in the dark And here we go again, we know the start, we know the end Masters of the scene We've done it all before and now we're back to get some more You know what I mean Voulez-vous (ah-ha) Take it now or leave it (ah-ha) Now is all we get (ah-ha) Nothing promised, no regrets Voulez-vous (ah-ha) Ain't no big decision (ah-ha) You know what to do (ah-ha) La question c'est voulez-vous Voulez-vous... I know what you think "The girl means business so I'll offer her a drink" Feeling mighty proud I see you leave your table, pushing through the crowd I'm really glad you came, you know the rules, you know the game Master of the scene We've done it all before and now we're back to get some more You know what I mean
  2. Oh my. Isn't that stunning? I'd be too afraid to live in it for fear of ruining everything.
  3. Thanks for that Steve, was only going by what Wiki said (hence the 'I think' bit). Interesting info.
  4. We've all been there. I got ribbed quite a bit, but you know, when she thought I wasn't listening, I heard my mum say 'Actually he looks quite nice', when we watched TSRTS once. Ha! I spent my entire school years pretty much drooling over a man, once described as being 'old enough to be my grandad', and many of my friends thought I was on crack, but shit, I so would. And I wouldn't change it for the world. He has more class and allure and sexiness, for me, than Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Johnny Depp, et all, put together.
  5. He's quite the fan of William Burges, an architect and designer back in the 19th Century. Jimmy bought his home Tower House in 1972, I think. This was Burges home, as well as his design.
  6. Well, she's definately on the ball, there. My dad writes in capital letters and not only is he super duper clever at maths, he's also a Mechanical Engineer - wanted to be an architect. And, hey, who was it that wanted to go into Biological research again?
  7. Ironically enough, I don't consider Catherine to be a groupie at all. I see her circumstances in life to have been glamourous and tragic and wonderful and heartbreaking. Catherine was raised with glamour - her mother (boo, hiss!), aunt, grandmother, etc. It was always in her make-up and I don't think she actively persued any chance at being some musician's flavour of the month. Yet, Bebe is the first to tell you that this is how she is. When she clearly is not. I believe she doesn't want to be labelled a groupie, because being a groupie meant being like Pamela, Lori, Sable, et all. And we all know how much she loved Lori.
  8. Exactly. Don't get me wrong, I have all three of Pamela Des Barres' books, Pattie Boyd's, Bebe Buell's, and others, and they're entertaining enough, but what drives me insane is this view that they couldn't leave the relationship because the man was the better person, simply because he was a musician. Even when they got violent. Sorry, sweetheart, you hit me, you're out on your arse. Don't care who you are. And Bebe Buell seems to have this innate notion that she wasn't a groupie. She just happened to sleep with Jagger, Jimmy, Steve Tyler, Todd Rundgren, Elvis Costello, etc. Sure, you're not a groupie I think what makes Catherine so beautiful is that the pit-falls in her life made her even more determined, and they made her stronger.
  9. I loved Catherine James' book - she's had some rough times and she carried a really inspirational tone through the book. She wasn't in the least bit self-pitying, not like some of the other stuff I've read.
  10. He also wore a ring on his wedding finger pre-Charlotte And pre-Zeppelin Doesn't mean anything. I wear a ring my boyfriend bought me on that finger. And I'm not married.
  11. Linky I love this interview. They seem like such jovial men. And the occasional low grunt from Jimmy, helps of course
  12. I don't think he looks too thin at all. In the final picture his hair is tied up and he's in front of a white wall, not too dissimilar in colour to his hair - it kinda gives the illusion that his face is thin. And judging by the Toronto and Beijing pics, which were weeks apart, I'd say he looks perfectly fine for a man of 64 who was always on the thin side.
  13. I saw a news clip today with an estate agent called Valhalla.
  14. The blonde is definately NOT Rebecca Adlington. Ross has named the wrong person. And Rebecca Adlington is a swimmer.
  15. The woman in the middle is a British artist named Tracy Emin.
  16. By golly. He's the sexiest cricketer I've ever seen
  17. Not the best quality, would be better if someone had a clearer picture.
  18. I've lost all sense of whether these have been posted already, but, I don't care. They are so, so, good.
  19. He even looks gorgeous in dodgy yellow lighting.
  20. Thanks for the pictures aen27 This one is lovely. How is it he's so beautiful?
  21. Saw Gone Baby Gone on Saturday. Considering the case of Madeline McCann, I can see why it was postponed for 6 months - some aspects of the film are uncanny. Having said that, thought it was a good film and was quite impressed with Ben Affleck's directorial debut, thought Casey Affleck was good, though I found it hard to hear what he said most of the time. Had the same problem watching Assassination of Jesse James... But, any film that gets you thinking is always a good one...
