  1. It's not Tampa (wrong clothes for Jimmy) and I've seen photos of Pitt. & Atlanta which were both at night I believe....
  2. Here's one. I changed my sig. Still need tips on photo posting.....anyone...please...
  3. New question: I have two photos from an old Cream magazine that show Zep performing outdoors in daylight in'73. Robert has sunglasses on and Jimmy is wearing a red bandana around his neck. (I'd love to post them, but it says I've "linked to a website that is not allowed"? (photobucket-huh?) If someone can tell me how to post them I will, if not, is anyone familiar with these pics? I've searched and can't seem to figure it out. It's not Kezar, it's not Mobile, .....??
  4. I too am a giant Jimi fan, can't believe it took this long to stumble upon this thread. Hey does anyone know of a similar-type forum for Hendrix? I can't find anywhere to discuss Jimi and I'd love to find a place like this where I could talk about all things Hendrix. Thanks!
  5. Jimi flew to Toronto on December 7th for the trial. He was cleared of all charges on Dec. 10. My detailed Jimi diary does have a blank spot for a few weeks in Oct., so not certain of his activities. But I tend to believe Jimmy's tale. I do wonder if Jimi was at all affected by the massive airplay Zep were getting then, if he maybe even caught a Zep gig at the Fillmore E or Central Park...I'd think he'd be curious. But maybe not. Those drug charges hanging over him, no band, dark days for Jimi then. To catch him all wasted at a club isn't much of a stretch...
  6. I'm of the opinion the recorder was possibly on an amp right behind/next to the drums, the way the cymbals are so hot and Bonzo's grunting. Are there any good photos from this gig we can examine?
  7. I distinctly recall an interview with Plant right around the Coverdale / Page era and when the interviewer compared the two and Robert just bristled and said something like " Oh no, I was never that bad, all that preening, Good Lord.." And Evester, I too was there at the Cal Jam in '74, "Burn" fucking smoked. Glen Hughes is bad ass. So is Ian Paice for that matter
  8. Well since my new sig shows Jimmy's bandaged hand, I'm duty bound to post here....whatever the date
  9. I worked for VanHalen from 75-78. If Ed had really met John Bonham I'd have never heard the end of it, and I don't recall anything about this. I do remember the band thinking Blackmore was watching them at the Starwood once but it turned out to be a look-alike! However - it MAY be true, and if so, most likely it was after one of VHs many gigs at Whiskey-a go-go, after all the Rainbow is a short one-block walk from the Whiskey. 75-77, couldn't be earlier. My two cents anyway...
  10. I have "The Object" from the Presence LP. Well - the reproduction. Just saw the original on Ebay going for two grand.
