A few years ago I had quite a few Zeppelin pressings from Iceland. They were all pressed around 1982 and nothing really special about the sound - sounded just as good as any other 1980's Zeppelin records. I parted ways with them to help fund a family trip to Australia a few years ago.

That was great! Carouselambra is one of my fave tracks.

All of them - each and every one!

That's awesome! Great shots and great time of year to go! I need a rock like that in my garden : )

I actually think the show starts off pretty good. But by Ten Years Gone Jimmy's getting pretty ill. What a shame - but I guess they make up for it at the next gig 10 April and just kill it. Dude who shot that film had some killer seats!

Limited to 19,700 copies?

With all the photographers behind the band and on and around the stage I'm really surprised there isn't more film or photo's of this gig. You'd think there'd have to be more than one guy with a Super 8MM camera there.

Thanks for the heads up. Did you get their 10th anniversary deluxe release of their first album? What do you think of ex-Fleeter Josh Tillman aka Father John Misty?
RE: The 10th anniversary, yes sure did and love it. I've listened to FJM's releases many many times, however I just can't get it. I know a lot of ppl love everything by FJM but I can't see why.

RIP John Henry. I was in 7th grade and 12 years old when this happened. I remember it very well. It was shortly after this that the local movie theater ran a midnight show of The Song Remains The Same. My dad took me and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Fleet Foxes dropped a new LP on 22 September called Shore. I was an uber fan through all of their released up until Crack Up (2017).
You can stream the new release at their website https://www.fleetfoxes.co/
At first listen its a nice return to a familiar sound. Crack Up, IMO is an acquired taste. Enjoying this so far.

Both shows on 19 September 1970!

As much as I try I still can't get into the 1979 Copenhagen shows. They just sound so thin and distant. I much prefer Blueberry Hill or other audience recordings.

Also missing is the Plantation from the end of the show (at least on my boxed set version). New York... Goodnight! I always loved that. There was plenty of space to include it as the audience cheers after Whole Lotta Love goes on for a fair bit. Whenever I play it I say goodnight to New York myself. The girlfriend just looks at me dazed and confused.

Hey about the Maui gig. The gig looks SO small - only a handful of people. Maybe a couple of hundred? I LOVE Hendrix, but don't have the knowledge like I do with Zeppelin. You'd think a Hendrix gig in 1970 would have drawn thousands. What a beautiful and intimate venue, it looks so peaceful compared to Woodstock and Altamont. Thanks!

and for the acoustic set
+1 One of my favorite acoustic sets. Closed 2nd for me is the acoustic set from the BBC sessions. LOVE how chatty Plant was during the gigs in 1970/1971.

so cool he used Dead End Friends for the music in this clip
I wonder if the drum battle between Dave Grohl and Nandi Bushell influenced that decision. I reckon it did.

I look forward to this day every year. Hard to believe it was 50 years ago now. I first heard it inn 1984 or 1985. My favorite parts are the acoustic set. Plant SO chatty - just love to hear him talk. And of course the WLL medley. ✌️

It's interesting for sure and am looking forward to hearing the full version. Hearing only a minute or so of the track I can kind of see why they dropped it from the set. Maybe hearing the full version will change my mind, but first impression is I like the studio and outtake versions better.

Any love for the shows they opened with We're Gonna Groove? I LOVE watching Bonzo on the drums during the RAH show. They only opened with this a handful of times and am glad we have what we do.

I want to go there.
It was a great trip Strider! We even made it to the concert hall and walked around inside. Which it's not really a concert hall at all, it's a basketball court and health club. Here's a video I made in and around the hall.

Ya, PT sure has a wicked tongue but so does Van Morrison. I remember seeing PT on MTV back in the 1980's and he was being interviewed about Keith Moon, Hendrix and others that had passed on. He said quite sharply and something to the effect - Well they may be your heroes, but their my fucking friends. Ouch.
