Hello: I did not attend a concert but I tried to watch a Mariah Carrey concert being broadcast on Much More Music last eve... I heard some tunes but then I switched to another station..I switched back to her concert and heard VISON OF LOVE..there appeared to be something wrong with her ear piece..I remember hearing her sing this soon after it was released. Hi Timothy: Yes..I'm finding it difficult to listen to Celine now. Some of the notes near the end of TAKING CHANCES make me cringe..I also do not like the video... I have heard her sing in French and those tunes are more enjoyable...Her duet with Peabo Bryson (Beauty and the Beast) is o.k. Where Do Broken Hearts Go? is one of her earlier tunes. I think that is the name of the tune. I don't find that hard to listen to when she reaches the higher notes There is speculation that she and hubby Rene may buy the Montreal Canadiens...I heard that on one of the sports shows... Juliet

Hello: A week ago I made a spur of the moment decision to go and see the Canadian group GREAT BIG SEA...I thought it might be interesting to see and hear this well known East coast group. The group that opened for them was called SPIRIT OF THE WEST. The music is folk/Celtic/foot stomping/hand clapping or whatever word is used to describe the genre. To make a long story short....I sat through SOTW..one of their tunes was an ode to a friend who lost family members...it was too sad and didn't match the rest of the material..I heard 3 GBS tunes and got up and left...I guess I just wasn't in the mood for those kind of tunes and the wild respone it gets from the beer chugging crowd....They also had a flashy set and light show..including a curtain that fell to reveal a large picture of the cover of one of their CD's... There sure was a big crowd..'cause alot of people love this group.... Juliet

Hello: There was an apology late yesterday from Greg Gutfeld, the host of Red Eye. The defence minister accepted it. Many Canadians have not accepted the apology and are still mad. Doug Benson, another person on that show has lost his gig in Edmonton due to the fact that the comedy club has received threats and cannot guarantee his safety.. HERE'S WHAT ALSO BOTHERS ME...I look at my cable bill and I see I will have to pay more this month. Not only is the story a disgrace but it has been repeated again and again and I resent having to pay for these A******** on FOX... They should be fired and I should get a discount and/or credit on my cable bill. Juliet PS I see two major fast food chains advertise on FOX...I can live without a burger and fries....it's too bad because I'm a regular customer at one of those places...

Good Morning: I had a chance to see a London Knights game last week. Their star player, John Tavares, scored a goal. He's fast!!!! He passed the OHL record yesterday in a game against the Windsor Spitfires. It's on to the play-offs. I had no intention of going but heard about the game from a bank teller. I was in London for other things and I'm glad I took in the game....great way to unwind.... It was held at The John Labatt Centre. Robert and Strange Sensation played there in 05. During the game there are frequent snipits of rock tunes while the the players are taking a break to set up etc etc. During one of those breaks , a few bars from Rock n' Roll was played. I was going to stand up and cheer but I kept still and just smiled. Juliet PS GO KNIGHTS GO

Hello: I read articles in The Toronto Star and The London Free Press today about the fate of A channel stations. The London paper had the most passionate argument..The person spoke about the importance of the community getting involved to help save the station.. there is a very real possibility that the London station will close... NOT IF JULIET CAN HELP IT.....ONWARD!!!!!
