Rock Historian
Zeppelin's final performance was on this day 29 years ago in Berlin. (7-7-80) It's hard to believe it's been that long ago. The flame still burns. In memory I listened to the Final show, twice today. John Bonham-we miss you!

Strider
Don't forget July 7, 1968...an equally important date in Led Zeppelin history! I am almost ashamed to admit this but I STILL haven't bought the July 7, 1980 Berlin gig. And I see it all the time at the swap meet...but just when I think I'll get it, I'll end up picking up another 1970 or 1971 or 1973 show instead. SuperDave
They weren't playing in peak performance on that mini-tour of Europe. But I think the Zurich and Frankfurt gigs of the 29th and 30th of June were particularly good.
NickZepp
The concert had the longest version of Stairway, and a long jam version of Trampled Underfoot, and the longest White Summer/Black Mountain Side, and a unique version of Whole Lotta Love.
