reswati Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) The StarTribune out of Minneapolis is reporting that veritable rock God Steven Tyler fell off the stage at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis early this morning. After an evident failure in the sound system the timeless 61 year old was attempting to calm the masses by doing a hypnotic trance dance, ala the days of Stevie Nicks, only with about half the scarves. Security supervisor Ed Aurand, who witnessed the fall described it as follows: He does a lot of dancing on the stage and he does a lot of stuff with his mike stand. He put his stand down and twirled around and stepped backwards off the stage," Sanborn said. Tyler, who appeared to be ok after the mosh pit dive into the fans, was eventually airlifted to a hospital in Rapid City SD with possible head and neck injuries. He was good natured about it," Sanborn said. "He was in good spirits when he got in the helicopter. He was talking and joking with the physician Shortly after midnight Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry took the stage and announced to the approximately 60 thousand in attendance that the show would not go on. Just shows to go ya, you never know what's going to happen in Sturgis. (Here's a youtube video of the accident) Ohh..... get well soon Steven!!!!! Edited August 7, 2009 by reswati Quote
