Page-ist
Personally, I've never seen a Led Zepp cover band live, but even if I had the chance too, I would rather just listen to the real thing at home.
danelectro59
Tribute bands are a waste of time and money, imo. Buy the videos and see the real thing.
Jimmy's A Legend
I once went to see Boot Led-Zeppelin, they were very good, "Robert" was very good, he did little things that Robert did onstage, like flicking his hair back, and they looked kinda simular. Letz Zep, I've never seen them live but, judging from their Utube videos are very good aswell. Ok yes they arn't Led Zeppelin, but it's great hearing the music live and loud, and actually there with you not through a TV
aen27
ive only seen one tribute band...three times...but they were very good (ZoSo), what are your takes on them? I loved Zoso. The person playing Bonzo was the best though.
huw
It's all very well saying you'd prefer to stay in & listen to the records but sometimes it's nice to actually go outside & spend an evening out with friends having some fun, having some drinks & seeing a band. Tribute bands/cover bands (big difference) aren't about copeting with the real thing, they're about providing good entertainment for a night out. Having said that, I've seen a few different Zep tribute bands & there are good & bad out there. Fred Zeppelin I'd go back to see again, and Ledd Zepp as well. But there was one that were really bad - singer out of tune all night, & I'll not be wasting my money there again... (I'll spare them the blushes & keep the name a secret - other people seemed to be enjoying them after all. They're one of the biggest Zep tributes in the UK too, so they don't need me)
zepps_apprentice
I loved Zoso. The person playing Bonzo was the best though. yea ive seen them three times, now i know kinda know the person playing JPJ after my 3rd show he was like "hey i remember you!" like 7 months later. me and the Jimmy actor got into a pretty good conversation too. i also met the "robert plant" before the show
BonzoLikeDrumer
I've not seen any of them myself but the stuff I've seen on-line has made me lean towards Led Pagan as the most look and sound a like if that's what you mean. I can dig a band playing a few song's by a group but after a bit a tribute band gets old.
