As a non American myself,it never ceases to amaze me that while the world and his wife seems to despise America,it does not stop them from looking to the USA when things go wrong. When there is a natural disaster anywhere in the world,America is expected to be the first on the ground with the aid (you invariably are).I can remember seeing some of the awful scenes in the aftermath of the recent earthquakes in Haiti where the locals were furious at the perceived lack of urgency they thought was being shown by the US government. They were DAMANDING that President Obama speed things up,not realising that America owes them nothing.I dare say that when the next calamity hits El Salvador, the home of the lady who finds the USA so distasteful, her government will once again look north to the "great Satan".

In europe you are also reviled. As I have previously posted, you played the major part in winning a war against an enemy that was set on the domination of the continent, one that had been engaged in the attempted murdering of a whole denomination of people. When that ended, you played the major part in keeping western europe free from a Soviet enemy that had already subjugated the eastern section of it.This lasted decades, and when Bosnia erupted in genocidal war,and the governments of europe stood by and did nothing, the USA once again came riding over the hill to put an end to that conflict.Still you are disliked.I did post earlier to Dan that I'd finished on this topic, but that posting from El Salvador just made me shake my head.America, the world hates you.Ungrateful bastards, aren't we?

In the real near future probably 10-15 years America will not have the money to keep their forces all over the world so we'll see them pull out relatively soon. We're spending way too much money that we don't have as it is. It won't be long before we stop spending money on military and the world will really love us when this happens.

Well, well, this could be very boring, as somebody said before this was a very bad topic to start but as my comment did shake your head yours shook mine. Everybody has just forgotten or simply just ignore that our countries have become unfortunate satellites of the U.S. and that's not because counciously people loves U.S. ways but because all the system is made for us to revolve around your economy. Our countries are poor for one reason, our countries are bedazzled with the stuff you make and sell fo one reason, even if people cannot buy them. I'm not being ungrateful for the help people receives from you and other countries when something like that happens, but also it's not my problem that also the U.S. is always sneaking around in other countries problems or trying to defy or absorb cultures that have been around thousands of years before the U.S. as we know it was formed. You cannot play god and do whatever you want and kill whoever you want everywhere. That's going to backfire you.

And i didn't say anything about Satan, i know that not all U.S. citizens are "satan worshipers", i've known very sensible people of the U.S., people with a lot of respect for life, respect for other cultures, respect for real humanity and i'm married to one.

I know that the primary and primitive human reaction to violence is violence. We should rethink about our behavior, we shouldn't be even arguing about this. I know you'll still think i'm a prick. No one of any nationality should have the right to kill anybody for any reason. Natural law is implacable. None of us will get away without paying the consequences of what we have done in life.

Starting to feel that sentiment of BigDan concerning all the injustices the US has done here and especially abroad.

Democracy or US interests? Looks like nine times out of ten interests win.

Some recent examples:

Aristide a popular elected President of Haiti was overthrown by a US backed coup d'etat in '04 and only recently this past month was allowed to come back after exile in South Africa (US lobbied for him not to return).

The UN resolution condemning the illegal Israeli settlements was vetoed by only one country, us.

Plan Colombia which indirectly supports right wing paramilitary forces (awful human rights record) in their fight against left wing groups like the FARC who aren't good guys either only the campesinos lose. Fumigation of coca fields has bad health effects on the people there mostly peasants also in effect displacing them.

Support of dictators, etc

By the way this is criticism I'm not going to burn an American flag.

As for wikileaks which is what I originally searched for this thread was close enough I think it's a good thing for people to know the truth. Had a part in the revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt.

Embassy cables are great.

Top laughs go to us catching the Afghan VP stealing $52 million and flying into Dubai with it in his suitcase, then us letting him go anyway. Bye-bye tax & opium money, glad we made him & Karzai and their cronies rich.

Bradley Manning,need to be shot.

Don't you worry he might get the death penalty whenever he faces trial after months in solitary confinement like he's Hannibal Lecter.

To me the criminals in the cables should be punished not the messenger but hey that's civil disobedience in what Manning did (read Thoreau).

The Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party (also spelled Ba'th or Baath which means "resurrection" or "renaissance" (reddyah); Arabic: حزب البعث العربي الاشتراكي‎) is a secularist political party, mixing Arab nationalist and Arab socialist interests, opposed to what it sees as "Western imperialism" and calling for the "renaissance" or "resurrection" of the Arab World and its unity in one united state.[1] Its motto — "Unity, Liberty, Socialism" (wahda, hurriya, ishtirakiya) — refers to Arab unity, freedom from non-Arab control and interference. Its ideology of Arab socialism is notably separate in origins and practice from Marxism.

Arab nationalist and Arab socialist = RIGHT-WING Fascism/Nazism:):):)
