SuperDave Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Movie trailer of "Sucker Punch" with about 30 seconds of Levee in it. Not sure how you'd classify this movie but sort of in the Action-Adventure/Horror. Saw some dragons in the trailer too. A bit of everything I suppose. Some well known among the cast which includes, Emily Browning, Jena Malone and Scott Glenn. Not sure if this is my type of flick, but we'll see. Yupter Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) ...Levee... I was about to post this in the "Unrelated Places" thread. Also, what does this mean? Is Jimmy trying to subliminally tell us something? Edited November 5, 2010 by Yupter Quote
Magic Fills the Air Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 The film looks awful, but it's really cool to hear Zeppelin in a film trailer, I just wish it was a better film! I think they could have made better use of the music though. All that music towards the end was rubbish. If they want dramatic effect, they should have stuck to Bonzo's drumming. Quote
SuperDave Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 The film does not look good at all. Not my type of movie. Looks like one of those awful Resident Evil type movies. Quote
Triplet Kick Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) Hmm I'm not at all sold on using Zep's music in movies. Remember Shrek The Third? They used Immigrant Song heavily in the trailers for it, and when the film actually came out, it was only for a few seconds of actual screen time. I'm conscious that songs are used and paid for on a very expensive per-second basis, but frankly, it seemed like a real cheapening of the song. So using WTLB for a mediocre film title like 'Sucker Punch' seems to be another bad choice. Does this opinion make me a snob? So be it. UPDATE: I have now read that the film is unlikely to contain WTLB due to "rights issues". Hoooo-rah! Edited November 5, 2010 by Triplet Kick Quote
Led Zep Girl Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 "When The Levee Breaks" doesn't really fit in with the movie. I think. Quote
LVRAY Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 What does it matter if any of you like the movie or not - who cares! ? Quote
DMachine Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Even if you deem it doesn't fit in the movie, whoever chose the song has good taste. Unfortunately, the hero lady does shoot down a zeppelin at 2:11, and that ain't right. Quote
