And by all means draw inspirations from songs that you do know. I just think that if you are going to write some lyrics for a song, you should draw on your own life experiences and have something that is more original. Even at 12 you would have some things that you feel passionate about. The more you write the easier it may become. Just write your thoughts and feelings and then arrange it in a cohesive manner.
