badgeholder Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Yesterday, in Toronto, before a Radiohead concert. Their drum tech was killed. http://edition.cnn.c...apse/index.html Quote
Jahfin Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Recently read about ZZ Top canceling a show because they felt the stage was unsafe. Quote
Knebby Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 (edited) The drum tech was working for Clive Deamer, the current Radiohead drummer and former member of Robert Plant's Strange Sensation. RIP Scott Johnson. Edited June 17, 2012 by Knebby Quote
Strider Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 ^^^ Don't forget Portishead, too. Oh man, this is terrible news. I guess the only blessing is that it happened before they had let the fans in, thus minimizing the destruction. My first thought when I heard about it was the weather must have been a factor, but according to the above article, the weather was fine. I'm sure investigations will be made, including whether Toronto used union or non-union crews for the construction of the stage. Quote
Juliet Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Hello: My condolences to Scott Johnson's immediate family and band family on the loss of a talented well-liked young man...R.I.P. SCOTT Juliet Quote
