henrybonzo
Chas & Dave really are worth a mention Rockney is no joke, these boys can really play and i believe should be inducted into some hall of fame for their unique songwriting talents, the lyrics alone could give Eminem a run for his money (he sampled them by the way) They have created their own sound and written about real life in their own London voice, technically their songs historical records of moments in time and i especially like that they use words that are slowly being forgotten in 21st century London! plus chas was in the outlaws with Richie Blackmore in the 60s (pre-purple) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN-DVM4AJB8
Pagesbow
They are certainly an "acquired taste" shall we say. I did watch a docu on BBC4 a few months back about them. 32:00 briefly mentions Knebworth. Anyone know how they got the gig as they weren't fans of Zeppelin? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN-DVM4AJB8
Strider
There are quite a few people on this forum who have nightmarish memories of Chas & Dave at Knebworth, so I doubt you'll find much support for their inclusion to the Hall of Fame.

chillumpuffer
fair enough, that was 30 years ago, how you feeling now? Still tired! No to be fair H, it still baffles me today the support acts from that Festival. I was and still am a Todd fan but I just couldn't get my head around it. I suppose it was just another gig for C&D but come on? Bit like Motorhead opening the Cambridge Folk Festival
