Yep. 'Daddy Long Legs.' I know you have some nasty ones down there too. I know a guy in Perth.

Saw this one at a birthday party.

Fucking hell mate, that ain't no Daddy Long Legs. LOL.... that's a frikin' NIGHTMARE. The daddy longlegs we get you can let walk all over you as they are just spindly little things (can be quite big, but just tiny) as per -

AFAIK it is the definition of a DLL that it is the above. Nothing more.

Now other Australian spiders on the other hand......

Spider Identification Chart • Distribution • Venom Toxicity • First Aid

I have had close encounters with Funnel-webs, Mouse Spiders, Wolf Spiders (they are skittish and jump) the Garden Orb, Huntsmens (had one crawl up between my legs while I was driving home from work one day - a great story), Trap-doors, St Andres Cross - which are very common - but harmless, and of course red-backs. None bit me. You see them and you deal with them. They were much worse in NSW. QLD seems to be far better. (Wolf Spiders are a pest though)

Close-ups are so cool. I've been looking at electron microscope pics on You Tube. Stunning how clear they are with lots of depth of field.

This guy was in my shower. I just let him live there.

Do you guys also call these guys "Daddy Long Legs"? or is that an Aussie thing?

What model bike? My truck is an '84 Ranger with a V-6. She's been a good 'ol girl and has hauled a lot of firewood. I won't know til Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's maybe just a fuel filter or anything else not too major. I did get my '66 Mercedes D200 (diesel) brakes working today and tested it out in the parking lot because it hasn't been registered since 2017. Had to replace the 3 rubber brake lines (from Parts Geek) as they were all plugged up. She stops now, I can tell you that. Front brakes are disc. I'm going to get a collector's plate for it eventually.

A Yammy 1300 VStar Cruiser. Rides like a bus.

Thinking and waiting to see what's wrong with my truck. Hope to hell it isn't major, like a timing chain or bad valve.

The speedo and engine light on my bike went. Mechanic identified the part in the gear housing. $400 and has to come in from Japan - ETA January. :( I can still ride, but have to judge speed.

I hope your truck works out better....

  5. Wow, just goes to show, there is scope for a killer offering from Page and Co.

    Royal Albert Hall SDBS.

Followed of course by the "5 Glorious Nights" SDBS.

Naturally, you would have to then throw a Knebworth SDBS together - which could include the Copenhagen gigs cleaned up with the latest audio restoration technology.

Wishful thinking, but why not dream? :)

I just noticed that in my YouTube box this morning! Looking forward to listening to the unadulterated master.

It is amazingly clear for Youtube. I wish there were FLACs available. Better than the Genuine Masters "Collectors Edition-audio only" I have (which is a clear cut above 3 other versions I tried, even the Winston one)

  7. I think the '75 Seattle matrix, and even just the SB release showcases the bass very nicely. Sick Again and OTHAFA specifically, it is crystal clear in the mix which is brilliant given Jonesy was ON FIRE (along with the others for that particular night). I'm sure others could point to similar SB's...
