  1. So now you are going to insult Townsend? The man can play 7 instruments. And Keith moon and Entwistle have been rated in the top three of thier instruments for many many years. As for you Lizzy, you never gave them a real chance did you? Have you listened to Quad or tommy in their entirety>? Of course you will say yes. But you dont know the old classical music as well as I do. I lived it. I listened all the time. And had to listen to Disco too as it was there. No escape. Some of it was actually good. Better than alof of the garbage I hear now including Green Day.
  2. Thanks. Your damn right its a masterpiece and one of the best ever. Top five for sure. My top five are Led zeppelin IV, Who's Next, Dark Side of the Moon, zepp II or PG and Quadrophenia. WTF. Insult after insult. Just to get my ass going. Ah shit. Put Hot Rocks in there too (Stones greatest hits) and the red and blue by Beatles. Now we have it. Got that Liz? Now go listen to three songs off Quadrophenia. The Real Me, Dr Jimmy and 5 and 15. And then tell me what you think. And then Tommy. Starting with Its a Boy. Its great great music "Why should I care? Why should I care" (
  3. An all right band? Ok. Yeah sure. Ass kickiin great all right band. And have the numbers to back it up. Are you kidding me? Who's Next is a classic by the way swede. Nobody would pick those albums you mentioned over Whos Next. Quadrophenia and Tommy are huge success;'s too. All right. That is an insult Electro. All right my ass. The fucking Who? Are you for real? That is like saying the Beatles or Led Zeppelin are all right. Or Pink Floyd is all right. They are all great bands.
  4. What about the rock opera'a? Quad and Tommy?
  5. Listen to Who's Next. Wont get fooled again, Behind Blue Eyes, Teenage wasteland (Baba Oreilly) and Ill tell you its on the top five of all time list. It is a great album and so too are Quadrophenia and Tommy. Great great albums. Who are you is good too, but the old stuff is better. The Who to me is in the top four of all time category. Zeppelin, Who, Beatles, Stones, and then Floyd and Eagles. It would not be right though for them to play without Entshistle. Takiing him and Moon away is even more of a loss to that band than Bonzo for Led Zeppelin. Because they lost two great great musicians. I have Entwistle tied with JPJ as the top two bass players in rock history. Sorry Paul. And Moon is clearly the second best drummer. By far and away.
  6. Much thanks Liz. Good to see you are on top of things. You will be relieved to know Im running out soon. have to go straighten out some admissions issues at a local college for step daughter. Things seemed easier ten years ago. At least they are still giving out financial aid here and there
  7. When you have to name your "band" after a famous band. A real band, what does that tell you? No thanks. Ill save my money for other things. What is a titter chez moi? Man. 70s rule!!!!
  8. Moving Pictures is my fav. Red Barchetta. Love that one. Should be good. They were on TV recently. Good old music. It will be great.
  9. Travers I am going to play and exacta box. 8 6
  10. The Travers is like a Rolling Stones concert. I need either the 4 or 6 to win the sixth race at Saratoga right now to hit the pick three. Fingers crossed. The Travers is wide open this year. Big race at Del Mar tomorrow too, out west. Richards Kid is in there. Ill take a shot with Fly Down in the Travers/ One thing to look for in these 3 year old route races. Look for horses that can andn have previously handled the higher weight allowance. Look at breeding. Look at workouts. Certain jockeys do well at certain tracks. For instance, Borel wins at Churchill like crazy but he is terrible at Saratoga. I prefer closers to speed horses, especially in routes. And if you see more than one speed horse a duel is ensured setting it up for closers. If Fly Down does not fire, Ice Box has the hot jockey Lepereux. Good luck. Oh man. Just saw the odds on my pick three horses. 6=1 and 30-1. Ouch. 6-1 has a fair shot. If the 30 -1 wins its a signer
  11. Race two tomorrow at Saratoga the five horse is named Early Argument. Elaine Castillo, a hot female jockey is making the four and a half hour trip from Finger Lakes to ride the horse who is a Finger Lakes shipper. Big shot. Bet him across the board and I think you will walk away happy. If you like doubles, use the 2,5,6 in race one with the 5 in race two. Saturday is Travers day. It will be a rock concert like atmosphere. Wide open race this Travers. A horse called Fly Down could be a nice price play. Look for horses that have handled the high weights well before. 126 lbs is more weight than usual to carry. The allowance in these stakes the weight can be big. And It is a grade one. A multi million dollar race. If anyone is really interested in either card, Saratoga, Del Mar feel free to pm me.
  12. It must take alot of research for you to come up with this? How do you find it? Onine? Anyway, great job Deb.
  13. Now listen my fellow Canadien friends. Get out there and buy some tickets for the Bills game against Chicago when they come up there and play! Cheer them on! come on!!!! If you do, I might, now I mean just might, let your leafs win one against my boys I(Sabres). hahaha. Its almost Miller time. GO BILLS AND GO SABRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. I dont know if you can say overcharged when you compare it to NBA and NHL and baseball. No higher than those sports. In fact, probably not as much. Will see how the Chicago game sells. If the Bills are playing to some degree of respectability,. Which is a big if Im sure, but possible.
  15. The Bills third stringers would pummel the argonauts. Its not even close to the same product. The CFL has no shot against the NFL. Its a league of castaways that could not make the NFL. And to the poster below, the regular season game will be worth paying $80 for all day compared to paying $200 to see the Maple Laughs.
  16. Ok. Good point. But lets see what kind of crowd shows up for the game that counts against the Chicago Bears?
  17. I am a bit disappointed the Toronto fans are not showing up more in force for the NFL games. The Bills did win last night and finally gave them something to cheer about. 39.000 and change showed. 14 thousand under a sellout. I hope that they come out for the regular season game against Chicago. if not, forget ever having an NFL team. Vancouver could not keep an NBA team. Montreal could not keep the Expos. and there is alot of money in 'Canada. Lets get out there and support the Bills!!!! Come on!!! We are giving up a regular season game in Buffalo. If the Bills start winning maybe it will make a difference? I know many will cross the border but I would like to see some Canadiens go to the games. Well, I guess i dont have to worry much about the Bills being moved to Toronto. They only support the Leafs. A team that has not won in ages And has not even made the playoffs in ages. I say that streak ends this year. But I wish some of the Toronto fans would show up for the Bears game and cheer on the Bills.
  18. Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on.

  19. You two wisenheimer's are fired!!!! Out of my kitchen!! And don't bother picking up your last pay check!!!! Your fired!!!!!
  20. You know Liz, I must give you credit for one thing, and I do mean this. Most girls your age just dont give old music a chance. I do commend you for that! Wish more would do the same.
  21. Zepp are rivaled only by the Who? you must add the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd to that list for sure. I have always referred to Zeppelin, the Who , the Stones and Beatles as the "big four". But I must add Pink Floyd to that list now and perhaps the Eagles too. They are all great and larger than life. Nobody can argue that.
  22. Love the Tin Man album. And Hearts. I would pay to see them again any day. Love them.
  23. I just love America. Never got the respect they deserved. Saw them at the Dome arena outside of Rochester in the seventies afte the release of the Tin Man album. Great band
