After watching 1975/05/25, I had forgotten how amazing this show is. Definitely some my favourite versions of some songs, i.e., OtHaFA, IMToD, That's the Way, Trampled, Moby Dick, Stairway, and all the encores. Simply superb!
Gettin' tired of people posting live stuff here that isn't related to Zep. There's a seperate topic for that, y'know? To stay on topic, I'm revisiting Fort Worth '77 today.
Gave 1977/05/21 another go-around for the first time in a good while. Much better than I remember. Robert's singing during the outro to No Quarter is excellent, IMO.
I'll check that out!
Also, listened to Stairway to Heaven 1977/06/25 awhile ago, and I've gotta say, this would be my favourite LA version if it weren't for that loud firecracker boom at the start.
Yeah, but Over the Top seems shorter because of the tape cut. There was still a +10 minute tympani section, which was much longer than normal for the '77 drum solos, and there's no telling how much longer it went on for thanks to the placing of the cut.
Heartbreaker 1980/06/29 (Bluecongo matrix).
This performance never fails to amaze me. Certainly the best single performance by Jimmy on this whole tour!
