  1. The best version of 1970/09/19 is 'One More For the Road 2005 Edition'. It's the lowest generation/best transfer around, better than anything bootleg label has released.
  2. Nirvana peforming 'Drain You' on February 21, 1994 at the Palasport in Modena, Italy.

  4. ^implying Bonham wouldn't have been overjoyed to have his son playing in his place
  5. if you're looking for a version where Robert's still 100% sincere in his vocals, any of the early '71 versions are your best bet. As far as versions with a great solo, many of the '75 versions, as well as the ones from LA and Seattle 77 versions are the way to go.
  6. To anyone whose interested, a new and nearly complete soundboard of Nirvana's infamous gig at the Hollywood Rock Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1993 has surfaced, and in excellent(!) quality. If you care, PM me for more info.

  8. Dang, that sucks though, were the clips identical, or was anything done to them? Sorry about the quote being in a seperate post, the browser is being screwy.
  9. strangely enough, I'm listening to that same show right now.
  10. I like how this thread went from being an innocent question to the umpteenth "Let's Bash the '77 Noise Solo" tangent. For the record, IMHO, it's a little late to be wishing that Led Zeppelin had done anything different. Maybe it's because 1977/06/21 was my first experience of listening to unofficial Zep, but I love the 3 hour marathons. I admit I don't always stick around for Moby Dick or Over the Top, but I just take it all for what it is, and love it anyway. Like you do in any good relationship.
  11. I'm listening to the new source of the 20th now. Here's a sentence you never thought you'd see: Empress Valley Supreme Disc didn't apply enough EQ to the tape. I actually had to give it a boost in Cool Edit Pro to really get it to live up to the title "So Loud, So Hot". The recording was simply too quiet. (EVSD, if you're reading this, don't take that the wrong way. I'd rather have it too quiet than brickwalled to hell.) Otherwise, it's a nice sounding tape and a legitimate upgrade to what was previously available.
  12. it's weird, I love listening to the noise solos
