  1. Same with me. I remember as a teen in the early 80’s getting the Essen,Vienna and Offenburg tapes in the mail. I sent cash in an envelope to some guy in Van Nuys and waited for that package to arrive to me in Toronto. When it did arrive a month later, those shows blew my mind. I owned 4 live Zeppelin albums at the time….Blueberry Hill/Going To California/Destroyer and The Song Remains The Same to compare them too. Well they blew my mind and I fell in love with that tour and it really got me hooked on collecting ever live Zeppelin show I could get my hands on. Back then I used Paul Kendall’s “A Visual Documentary” as my live reference book for dates. Nuremberg is such a great show. The playing is incredible and equal to all the other gigs on that tour up to Paris. I really like the audience recordings from these shows…..they have an intimate feel to them. Cheers
  2. Well obviously we’re all interested in the music too …..but if you’ve been watching the Song Remains the Same for the last 30 or 40 years like a lot of posters on this board then Ana’s (aka the hoodie girl) story is going to be interesting to you.
  3. Love that Baltimore gig. I have to take it for a spin….I haven’t listened to it in awhile. Glad you had the chance to see them live. You must have had quite the time.
  4. Excellent! Will definitely check out your podcasts. Looking forward to your interview with Dave. I have all his publications since the early 80’s and I’m currently making my way through “The Complete Concert Chronicles” which he released last year. Also checking out your youtube channel and some of your interviews. All the best.Cheers
  5. Getting my tickets tomorrow for the July 5th Toronto gig. Going to get the best two seats available at whatever cost. Have been lucky enough to see Robert every time he’s played Toronto post 1980…. I believe 14 times so far …..and every show has been incredible.
  6. Zeppelins Boots has it uploaded on YouTube. There’s a flac version you can probably ask him for:
  7. Ya he was in the “Jimi Hendrix” movie/doc from 1973 which used to show before “The Song Remains the Same” up here in Toronto back in the early 80’s. I also believe he is in the 1970 Zeppelin footage from Iceland unloading the band’s luggage from the plane…..you see him for a few brief seconds. What a legend!
  8. Thanks for doing these reviews Gibsonfan. Really digging them. I’m reading Luis’s new book in tandem with your reviews. Looking forward to the 25th night. Cheers
  9. Just listened to this on Spotify. Really interesting. Thanks for sharing! Cheers
  10. Well I received my copy today. I love it. Definitely more in-depth from past editions and many updates from what I can tell thumbing through it quickly. What’s infuriating though is all of the typos. I’m 35 pages in and there are some glaring spelling mistakes. This needed to be proof read a few times before going to press. Aside from that I’m still glad I grabbed it and can’t wait to make my way through it. Cheers
  11. Anyone going to be picking up this updated edition of Led Zeppelin Live ? I have all prior versions including the 2017 updated version that I bought through Dave Lewis. It’s pretty pricey, but it’s a great book (aside from the terrible cover)….I see it’s currently available on Amazon Canada. Cheers
  12. I own a reproduction “Object” that I bought off of Rick of “Barrett Adventures” back in 1990. I still have it. It looks very close to the one posted above. It’s numbered 266/1000.It has slight defects….the side are not smooth. I believe I paid around $200 for it at the time. Even though it’s a reproduction I absolutely treasure it. Rick was such a great guy and always had cool stuff. I loved loading up on mags and miscellaneous Zeppelin stuff a few times a year. Ebay pretty much put an end to that by the late 90’s.
  13. This footage is mind blowing!! Thank you so much for sharing. I’m speechless.
  14. July 28th/73….. Benchmark “No Quarter” . The perfect version.
  15. Thank you so much for making this footage available. The audio/video that has come to light these past few days/weeks/years is simply mind blowing! Cheers to everyone involved!
  16. I concur! The audio/video that has come available over the past few years is mind blowing. Especially these past few weeks. Thanks to everyone involved in finding the material and putting it together…. the syncing must be a nightmare. This old Zephead appreciates the hard work that is involved. Cheers!
  17. Very much appreciated! Thank you.
  18. Can’t believe I missed this! Drag.
  19. Thank you so much for these photos. Love them!!
  20. Lucky Venice. I still have my fingers crossed it’ll show at the Toronto Film Festival in September. I was lucky enough to catch “It Might Get Loud” at TIFF in 2008. My luck didn’t end there, as I was also able to get a picture of Jimmy coming out of a bistro across the street from the event that Saturday afternoon. A day I’ll never ever forget!
