    Oh CANADA!

Can't see him walking across the floor now. Foreign Affairs is too big a portfolio and his pension will be padded nicely. He's getting his payback from Harper. He should watch his back though, sometimes payback is a bitch
  2. Thanks for that. I can remember , just barely all the rumors that were surrounding the band at the time. Bonzo seemed to be the focus of so much attention when the 1980 tour was announced. We all thought that in some way payback would be applied. Probably just a Vancouver thing
  3. Am I correct in the fact that Bonzo was quite nervous about returning to the USA for the scheduled 1980 tour. Was there a sense of pay back in the air ?
  4. Had a great evening at Babs place last night. Met a bunch of really cool and friendly people for the first time which I alway's enjoy doing. Lots of fun. Babs can't sing though Thanks for the great time my man
  5. We must have grown up in the same neighbourhood Mad When I look back , I can't honestly remember any press coverage of Zeppelin other than local concert reviews. Even the local FM stations didn't play a ton of Zeppelin, like they do today. Word of mouth was everything. We were not part of the media circus that is today's music and I honestly think that Zeppelin would not have been the band they were had they started up in this era. They worked for they're audience and they're legacy is here today because they did.

    Oh CANADA!

Never thought of that Ev. Good one
  7. The younger guy with the camera around his neck is in both pics as well. Are he and she a couple ?

    Oh CANADA!

Why is it that scum like Bernardo and Clifford Olsen get so much air play ? I'm sure the family's of they're victims must just cringe anytime they hear either of those monsters getting any public attention. They should put both into the general prison population and be done with them
  9. I think that's Coles first wedding and that's his bride on his knee. I think your right about the time frame Otto
  10. Rough And Ready as well as The Jeff Beck Group albums were fantastic. Cozy Powell's sound was very cool. "Situation" off of Rough And Ready is one of my all-time favorite air guitar songs
  11. I might be mistaken but I think he came up with that after touring with Stanley Clarke. It does give a unique sound.
  12. Yep, so close but no cigar, Kinda like the end of the first era and the beginning of the next
  13. It's not often that I wish I was a year or two older but getting to see those artists would have been good reason
  14. You were talking about Vancouver 72 weren't you or was that someone else ?
  15. I loved that version of the Jeff Beck Group. Never got to see them though
  16. Is that in fact true ? I don't recall seeing the Black Beauty ( I could be mistaken ) during the concert. I've heard rumours over the years that the guitar went missing in Winnipeg sometime in 69. What is the accepted truth ?

    Whisky Tread

Canadian Rye Whiskey for me. Crown Royal or Walkers Special Old. Not very often though
  18. He played in Vancouver. Came on as a guest about half way through Stewarts set. They did a few songs from Truth and the stuff that Beck had featured on Camouflage. They were brilliant
  19. They were all good but my favorite was the Blow By Blow tour in 75. Bernard Purdy on drums and Max Middleton. Great band. I wish I could have seen him more recently but work commitments made it impossible
  20. Brilliant player. Was lucky to see him during the Blow By Blow, Wired and There And Back tours ( all small venues ) as well as his stint with Rod Stewart in the 80's.
