What Zeppelin Memorabilia do you Collect?
ally replied to No1ZeppelinFan's topic in Led Zeppelin Master Forum
What's got me curious is all the stuff that may be out there, but it's in the hands of people that don't know what they've got I think I'll be going to some garage sales this Spring -

Not his real name anyway's He had such a natural talent that it would be a shame if he didn't pursue it. Although not as good as the Australian Tour photo's, they were amazing live shots 30 in total. I would rather they had been sold and posted than to think they just ended up in some dumpster. I really wish they could have been shared -
Thanks Pagemeister. I'm glad she's back and I think she looks great. She needed Peter Grant as her manager

What Zeppelin Memorabilia do you Collect?

It was devistating but to be honest, they took just about everything we owned at the time and the Zeppelin stuff was probably the least of my worries I can do that now ! Never saw the pictures again, anywhere. The irony of them was that the friend who took the shots wasn't even a Zeppelin fan. He went to the show just to take cocert pictures. Something he had never done before. He moved to England and have not heard from him in 30 yrs. He may be someone famous for all I know. -

I had 90% my collection stolen in the early 80's. Along with most of the other items in our house. A great series of black and white photos and the negatives that a friend of mine took from the 73 Vancouver show were part of the haul. Professional quality and some of the best shots I've ever seen of the band. I have not seen them surface anywhere which is really a bummer because it probably means they were just thrown away. Most of what's left of my collection is pretty average stuff that was stored at another location at the time of the robbery -
I was just on it. If you have a problem with it, let me know

They do have an official site that's pretty interesting. For fan's of Trooper, they still kick it out pretty good
-
They are undertaking a Canadian Tour and will be playing the Red Robinson Theatre May 10. Looks like they are booked through out Canada till the end of Sept. No mention at the moment of other North American dates

I wouldn't call myself a fan, but those boy's have been kicking around Vancouver since the early 70's. They were a local club act for years under the name " Apple Jack " I believe they picked up that name up from a cheap gallon of porch climber wine that used to litter the floors of many a concert venue in this town. They were a great cover band and went on to have a few hit's as " Trooper " They still play around town now and then but I'm not aware if they do any touring.

You bet there are. I saw one today with a dozen Kokanee beer under his arm.

Well, I like many enjoy this Mystery thread. I believe it was the first thread that I posted on. It's informative and the collaboration of all who participate is outstanding. There are so many people here that can contribute worthwhile information to getting the mystery's solved. Hell it's just damn fun. Next Mystery please -

It's called contentment. It's a wonderful way to live ones life

If your talking a resurgence commercially I don't know. We all know who controls that. I don't think Southern Rock has ever left. It's pure music and even though it may not be number 1 on the charts, It wil alway'sl be with me and other's forever. For me, it's the same with all forms of music. That's why I'm such a big fan of Jafhin's threads. He takes me back and he moves me forward. I like to think of myself as someone who's up to date with the music scene but Jafhin alway's seems to give me the boot up the arse that I really do need from time to time

Yeah, Lowell George was the soul. I saw them in the early 90's and although they puy on a great show. The definitely needed LG. Still, a great live act and worth seeing. They did a great versions of "Skin It Back" and " Red Streamliner"
-
MSG, I am envious of you. Not getting to see Little Feat in the Lowell George era is one of my few regrets. Great band. I'm a huge fan. As for Skynard, as MSG said ,pre crash, one of the best live acts I've seen.

My oldest son informed me that he was going to pick up the guitar again. He is going to see his old mentor for a tune up and has arranged to get together with some old friends and his brother for a jam. I missed having them blowing the walls out of this place

That's one fine looking family Matt. You should be proud

That's the spirit. It would be kinda cool to know what else they had go missing. With all of us here , we would make a good search and rescue team
