    Oh CANADA!

Cheers Juliet, No the weather seems mild compared to what your getting, and I hope ,your not getting too down about it...but I'll be listening for that scream Springs gotta be around the corner... somewhere
  2. The Woodstock performance shot them into the public eye. Saw them in Apr 71 . They were a great band but I think they suffered a little from (Stairway Syndromn) with "I'm Going Home". For the rest of us, they were one of the best Blues/Rock bands of the era

    Oh CANADA!

We've got nothing to complain about out here. We just can't drive etc Seeing all the reports re record cold temps that are happening all over the country puts things in perspective. As you say, let's hope everyone is doing OK

Left Coast Blues .... too much of the white stuff for me, but our normal supply of liquid sunshine is on the way.

Yeah I see, but as I said earlier.Shit happens and my experiece all those years ago has not stopped me from going to the States and enjoying the hospitality that I recieve when I'm down there. Likewise,I hope your experience doesn't sway your opinion of Canada as a whole. Cheers

    Oh CANADA!

Joel..... I was denied entry to the States in June 72 while on my way to Seattle to see Zeppelin. I had Tix and enough money so as not to be charged with vagrency. No record, not even a parking ticket. I happened to encounter a jerk. That's all....a jerk. Had to walk back to Canada Customs and encountered ...another jerk.. Now to put that into perspective, imagine having tix for 02 and not being allowed to go because you happened to be the 9th caller...so to speak, and then not being able to get back home because... some jerk want's to know why you didn't go to the show...Now that's a PISS OFF

    Oh CANADA!

At one time or another I'm sure a few of us have had trouble with the boarder in both directions. As someone who visits the States frequently I'd have to say that 99% of the time I don't have a problem going in either direction. If you've got the necessary paperwork and have nothing to hide then it's usually not a problem. I, to be honest expect to be questioned when entering the USA. I'm the visitor so, I take it to be a given. Unfortunately, like it or not, 911 has changed things. All of us have to apply a little common sense when travelling these day's. Don't take it personally. I've got many American friends and I wouldn't dream of bashing them for any problem I may have at their boarder. They don't bash me if they encounter a problem on their visits to Canada. Anyway's come back and enjoy some real Canadian hospitality

  11. Really like they're early stuff. Felt they lost the plot a bit when Bruford left. Rick Wakeman went way over the top.... IMO.
  12. Watched 3:10 To Yuma last night....... excellent !!
  13. They were a good band. Carl Palmer was amazing live. Only got to see them once. "From The Beginning" still get's played in this house
  14. It won't be the next concert but a few friends are making plans for Tower Of Power's 40th aniverssary show Sept 19 in Las Vegas. I'll be going and if anyone can make it, It'll be one hell of a good time. All the Ex Members are scheduled to be there.....gonna be one hell of a funky JAM. Even if you think that this may not be your cup of tea...TOP is a band that has to be seen live. Souland R&B as you've maybe not heard before, ...and if you have.... Come and enjoy.... Peace Sister
  15. That's one sexy song ET. Fell in love with my first real girlfriend and that was OUR song... 67... What a wonderful year... damnit... What a wonderful life thank you MR Armstrong
  16. Just checked his website... This guy's the real deal. I'm buying everything he's got
  17. Your right .. There's a little Robert Johnson in everything
  18. Too be honest Roxie, I'm not a big fan of the choices given. I really like Berkely 71
  19. They were still a blues band in those day's. Aqualung pushed them on to a different platform and into big arena's. As I say they were just different to what had been going on and bands like Yes and ELP would follow their lead, in North America
