The Sabres. Never been a Habs fan. I'd love to take one off of San Jose but we'll have to bring our "A" game. They got a hole lot better with Campbell. They must be the biggest team in the league right now
Well our provincial gov. came up with a new "Carbon Tax" to add to the price of gas in BC. I hope the Feds have something up they're sleave to offset the cost of that. Some form of tax write off would be good
That's pretty much my opinion as well. They have put out some real good stuff in the .Ron Wood era.. but not enough to make me want to go see them live....although as Rock Action say's, a small venue would certainly be enough to change my mind
Likewise your post, I just got home from work
Yeah, we are up against it as you say. The west has so many teams that could go all the way. I don't think that the Canucks are that far away from being a great team. We've had so many injuries that the team hasn't been able to settle down.We need to trade Naslund. He hasn't been the same player since Steve Moore tried to decapitate him ( the reason Bertuzzi assulted Moore) The farm looks good and I say ...bring up some fresh blood to light a fire under some of our veterans
Would have to agree, Coverdale was a great singer and fit DP perfectly. That band had it's own sound and fan base. The important thing for Blackmore was to get a singer who could do just that...and he did
Well did you know that the Sabres first head coach was Joe Crozier who, happened to be the Canucks head coach pre NHL expansion when we were in the old Western Hockey League. Won us the title two years on the trot. Could never quite figure out why we didn't take him with us to the NHL
He had some really good years in Buffalo. Of course drafting Gilbert Perrault didn't hurt either. When the Canucks lost that coin toss for the #1 pick ( we got Dale Tallon) it got the franchise off to a terrible start
As a west coast Vancouverite, all I can do is concur. No offence Alberta ... but all of the above is true. Come to think about it.... it's even worse in Vancouver
Good result coming on the heals of the Zednik incident. It must have stirred some awful memories of ..Clint Malarchuk. Buffalo fans have witnessed some terrible moments.
By the way ,I have a soft spot for the Sabres as we are expansion cousins
I'm not a big fan of his latest collaborations but love the stuff he did with John Lee Hooker : The Healer, Stripped Me Naked, Chill Out. . I just can't see him as the contemporary artist he's become. To me Carlos is at his best when playing the blues
One of my greatest regrets is not having seen the original Santana perform live. Saw his 75 tour when he opened for Clapton. He was good but, I think that first lineup had a raw edge that I just happen to prefer
Ssssh is a great album. "Good Morning Little School Girl" love that version. I'm partial to they're live stuff and wish I'd seen them more than just the one time.
