Well, just when you thought you've heard it all... I just ordered this set- by all accounts, it will turn your copies of "Flying Circus" into beer coasters. Allegedly, the true master tapes found their way into a professional recording studio and got cleaned up and mixed to perfection. Utterly amazing, from what I've heard. You can read more about it on Underground Uprising. I'll post a review once my copy arrives.

What a lot of people don't even know is that "Happy" was basically a Keith solo track. It was just him, Jimmy Miller and Bobby Keys. Jagger's vocals at the end were overdubbed later... They don't need Bill in the studio.

Keith is just a good a bassist as Bill. Easily. Take "Live With Me", for example.

The perfect scenario is this: Woody and Rod hit it off, and Faces reunites permanently. Woody leaves the Stones. Keith swallows his pride and calls Taylor, who also swallows HIS pride. Taylor re-joins, and the Stones start to show life again, even in their advanced stage.

Thing is, Woody was GOOD with Faces. His raunch 'n roll style was fine for that band. But he just doesn't step up to the plate with the Stones. No match for Mick Taylor whatsoever. The Stones' guitar sound hasn't been all that in DECADES, lead-wise. PLEASE, Woody! Quit the Stones and make this Faces project work!

I'd rather see Wood with Faces than the Stones any day. In fact, I'd like to see it become permanent.
