  1. A million errands to run, phone calls to make, and a few meetings to attend.
  2. Wild Fire Woman -- Bad Company
  3. It's great that Robert went down to Tasmania to play a gig. So many touring musicians -- and travelers -- seem to ignore it. I loved Launceston, Hobart and Port Arthur.
  4. This record was just recently re-broken by an American man who jumped from 134,000 feet.
  5. I couldn't agree more. I've only been on one cruise -- through the Caribbean to Mexico -- and it was awful -- I felt so bored and confined on the ship. I might consider cruising the Alaskan coast one day when I get older, but for me, there is no substitute for good, old-fashioned independent travel.
  6. ^^^^^ Great, I think you'd really enjoy them. Some of Derleth's stories are bloodcurdling -- they've stuck in my mind for years. Also, don't forget about WW Jacob's "The Monkey's Paw," -- perhaps the greatest horror story ever written.
  7. Time In A Bottle -- Jim Croce
  8. Geekfreak, another horror writer who you might like -- if you haven't already read him -- is August Derleth. Also, Arthur Conan Doyle wrote some excellent short horror stories -- my favorite is "John Barrington Cowles."
  9. It would be interesting to know if any of the band members ever flew on the Concorde.
  10. How To Save A Life -- The Fray
  11. In Love Again -- Rogue Traders
  12. A lovely Fall morning in Virginia -- almost as good as a lovely Fall morning in New England.
  13. Push, Push In The Bush -- Musique
  14. I just saw the film "Ouija" -- IMO it had some good scenes but was a mediocre film. Has anyone on this board had any strange experiences with ouija boards which they would like to share?
  15. Hi Geekfreak. I'm not a huge fan of the Munsters or Addam's family, but I do enjoy some of the Hammer House of Horror films and other classic horror films from the 50's, 60's and '70's. I like certain more recent horror films as well: The Evil Dead, The Ring, The Grudge, etc, etc. Also, thanks for posting the Yvonne De Carlo tribute, Steve.
  16. Lol -- I know it too. What's Simple Is True -- Jewel
  17. Don't You Wish It Was True -- John Fogerty
  18. Don't Lose Your Head -- INXS
  19. I agree. Christopher Cross has always been a huge guilty pleasure of mine -- I associate his songs with a magical, wonderful time in my life when I was 11/12 years old. I love his songs "Never Be The Same", "Sailing", "Ride Like The Wind", "Laura", etc. I'm amazed to learn that his band opened for Zeppelin -- wow.
  20. One Week -- Bare Naked Ladies
  21. The Once And Future Dream - Teena Marie

    So...

The Finns fought very well in both the Winter War and the Continuation War. Even Stalin respected their efforts.
