Quite late compared to their  929 re-issue, Eelgrass finally released a budget version of Please, Please Me (5+1 CD's) . This is a straight copy of EV's most expensive 928 set incl. the bonus disc feat. Beatles Covers.

Packaged in a  fat jewell case, this is clearly a cheaper alternative, until EV unleashes a re-hash on Moonchild..

Hi Eric, what’s the Eelgrass price and where do I get it?

Manna from Heaven. Happy birthday to me...and Happy Christmas, too! It's all the holidays and the Super Bowl wrapped into one.

i love the guy in the Youtube comments complaining about the darkness. What a jerk. It's guys like that that probably keep the hoarders hoarding.

Well, happy birthday to a fellow Liverpool fan (incidentally, I am heading back to my hometown in a week and a half, and will see the Liverpool v Crystal Palace game, in which we might win the premiership).

Led Zeppelin Boots is ZepHead315 on this forum.

He is, without a doubt, the best LZ channel on YouTube. I love how he has reached a whole new generation who may not have heard Zep’s greatest moments on stage before.

There’s also a lot of unique shows he brings to the table. Case in point... two of the very first full shows he uploaded to his channel were Baltimore 1973 (which is not available on many torrent sites) and the audience source of Seattle 1977 rather than the old video source.

To answer your second question, while everyone you named has done some fantastic remasters (making it hard to single-out one of them), Lirodendron has probably worked the best magic on soundboards that are the most dull-sounding. A compilation he did of the 1973 tour contains Stairway from 5/31 and Thank You from 7/29. These two shows are amongst the worst soundboards from the tour but he made the respective songs from them shine. I’d love to hear these full shows remastered by him.

If you could provide a link to the remaster of thank you from the 29th I’d be very grateful

How very arrogant. “Yep Jimmy served his purpose. Now that I’ve made plenty of money by breaking his trust, I don’t need him any more. Oh well”

Everything you said is valid 👍

Another 1975 board at this point is redundant except for possibly The Wanton Song and Levee.   Beyond that not much appeal since we have nearly the whole tour in amazing quality.  If I were the seller I’d unload it fast and cheap

    Another very very good point.

Also, I may be wrong, and my memory may be playing tricks on me (particularly as it was a Friday night, I'd had a few G and T's and i was pretty tired)....but before the RO website closed the thread to non-members, I could have sworn there was a link in there that included the Wanton Song in its entirety (I think it may have been that Zepster guy that posted it). Am I wrong?

And while we're on the subject....what do you have to do to get onto RO....donate your first born?

The guys over at RO are really cool.  Your Overlord, and Pernod and DanTheMan and Dadgad and many others and Pmonk seems like a funny as hell but very intelligent trouble maker; gotta love him!!  So they have good intentions and yep, losing $150 is peanuts, but going in you might as well think something wrong will happen.

Itll come out somehow one day.

The 928 release cost what, $160 for the basic package? This includes the artwork, packaging and silvers. If we’re talking $150 each to crowd fund (possibly even more), I’m really wondering what the upside is for those involved? Seems like a fair bit of risk (see Pluribus’s comments) for a return that is not as good as a standard EV package. Makes me think the seller is attempting to get more than they usually do from EV. It’s a classic case of generating a bidding war. Just my opinion.

Nope, that's not true. There's - of course - a maximum weight he can send for this $ 25.- He always states "Gift" on the package and that's a big plus when it comes to your door. I've ordered 5 Moonchild titles (twice) and both times p&p were $ 23.- making it (55+23)/5 = $ 15.50 a piece

With Yahoo Auctions you have to pay p&p (last time $ 21.-) and sometimes you have to collect your package at the postoffice to pay customs.

Still waiting for "Evolution is Timing 2" to arrive. Until now it sat me back: Item Price 3,980yen, Buyee Service Fee 300yen; Payment Fee 200yen; Standard Plan 500yen = Total 4,980yen = € 43,99 Now adding another 2420yen = € 20,99: international shipping fee 2200yen and from seller to Buyee 220yen

    Grand total: 7400yen or € 64,98 With AirRaid it would be $ 48.- plus $ 23.- p&p = $ 71.- / € 65,30) but when I've got to pay customs... AirRaid would have bee the cheaper option.

Ok mate thanks got the advice, really appreciate it

A couple of very brief snippets of the soundboard for this show have surfaced.

See this thread for more info: http://www.royal-orleans.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=46657

    Hi mate,

I heard this last night, but now i can't get onto the site or the link again. Would there be any chance you let me have an MP3 of the snippet? I heading out for a three hour cycle this morning.....i'd love to listen to this as well as the 928 sbd (which i have just downloaded).

    Hope you're good

  9. I feel a bit bad that I have somewhat “fanned the flames” on this. Not really my style, so my apologies. I don’t really like being a keyboard warrior, but after a bad day at the office....and then coming home to have to “crowd manage” my seven and nine year old sons I guess I just unleashed.

For the record, as much as I would like to be a teenager again, the reality is; 45yo male, wife, two kids, dog (Xolo), mortgage, degree, masters degree, middle management. Could afford EV releases (maybe), but simply can not justify it. Basically, they are the cost of a family trip to Bali for a week. I buy the more reasonably priced boots.

I told this many times before but it looks you're one of those, who would get more wanky job than learning!

So here's again: EV had to bought these tapes, and likely they have to spend a lot of $ at the start. Now they are trying to recover the capital, and of course, making some money on it. The Japanese copyright laws allows to release bootlegs as long as they're strictly limited, distributed in exact places and contain absolutely none of their native artists. It is called a loophole.

Now you and dozens of teenage wankers are crying because you cannot get it for free.

My proposition is: learn more, find a good school, get a proper job so you can afford EV products.

If you're still have any objections of what I typed above, it means you're just 1) stupid, 2) not enough educated; 3) very stubborn.

    Case closed.

    I can only laugh

It's much better than calling gimmie gimmie and eventually do nothing for the community

Rubbish! All the guy did was ask for more of the show. Who are you to lecture him?

If EV had the business acumen to release their titles at a reasonable price, many more would be prepared to buy. They would double their profits. In fact, they would also be cornering the market if Eelgrass.

The fact they are so expensive in the first place is bad enough. However, they then fuck you over by only giving you half the show, and charging you a fortune for the rest.

Make the releases $50 each and everyone wins.

And before you lecture me, I’ve bought bootlegs and shared them with other fans. But I’m not buying this and being shafted twice.

Absolutely!!!! Should be a stand alone release. As for '80 - it is so inconsistent it will never happen - at least while Jimmy is in control. The Copenhagen warm up gigs could potentially make for a release covering their latter years. If Jimmy has really good SB's - they should be worked on in the best studio's with the best software to create something. - But I highly doubt that would happen either unfortunately. Realistically I think the best we can hope for is a FULL RAH, EC, and/or Knebworth release (take your pick) - maybe done as a final "remaster expanded release" of Led Zeppelin DVD like everything else has been (extra DVD and possibly some bonus CD's) - or potentially whatever was recovered from Bath. Given the time that has transpired - even considering how "Zeppelin time" operates - I think anything more "live" is almost at the "no chance" point.

It really looks like this is the end game in that respect.

    Yep. No chance I’m afraid

    Moonchild is Empress Valley.

If you mean Eelgrass, I’m sure there will be one of those. But by that point there will already be 20 different fan remasters too.

When HTEWW was released, I’m sure it was a lot quicker than that. Wasn’t it a matter of days?
