  1. My better half made some oatmeal gluten free muffins with plenty of blueberries mixed in and a bowl of porridge
  2. One of the great Canadian bands of all time, one of the great bands discovered in 1992 anywhere on the planet; a band with a deep catalogue of album tracks, and a catalogue of what should have been international rock radio hits but never was because it was one of those bands that never had the right management, never had the right record deal (Geffen fucked them over for 1 album) and never had the right touring organization behind them. I love them to bits, I really do, they play often in my car and in my headphones. My dream would be for a band like Def Leppard to take them on a proper world tour as their opening act because I know it would go down a storm
  3. Actually, we grew up calling it Footie or Football - soccer was a North American media thing
  4. I agree - have many many interesting memories when it comes to situations in my life that included The Cult music playing in the background
  5. THAT is one of the GREATEST songs that has ever been or ever will be
  6. I know EXACTLY how that feels believe me - The Sounders beat Toronto on kicks in a game that Toronto should have won in regular time
  7. Snow - it's the first time in many years that Halifax is having a White Christmas - normally it just rains
  8. Congrats - they did what needed to be done on kicks - truth is I was expecting Toronto FC to dominate them, and during regular play it was looking like it, but the Sounders found a way to make it happen in the end. It was a long night in my home - I had the volume cranked and thank goodness the basement has a sound proof ceiling because my wife would not have been happy otherwise
  9. France, Arsenal, Ottawa Fury FC
  10. I saw them in Halifax in the last 10 years and it was one of the few times where I feared for my life at a gig - the audience was so into with body surfing, shoving, headbanging that I actually stepped back to the very back of the room so that I would not be injured. I was watching the audience as much as I was listening to the music it was an experience I will never forget. If you like Motorhead check out Hawkwind that is where things really start to get groovy
  11. Have Donovan on in my hotel room and playing along with a ukulele I bought in New Orleans
