  1. Don't know anything that's happened - didn't even realize playoffs started today. Here it goes, if allowed... WC Games - Mets and Orioles Divisional Series - Cubs and Dodgers; AL is confusing based on Paul's post...I thought Boston was playing Cleveland? I'll go with Boston and Texas. Championship Series - Cubs and Red Sox World Champions - Cubs in 6
  2. Once you go Dak, you never go back! ?? Come back on the road, from a 14 point deficit, with no Dez, missing 2/5 the starting o-line, the #1 defensive back, rookie qb, etc..... How 'bout them Cowboys!!!!!
  3. Congrats ebk! Thanks Paul for all the record keeping! I'll take my bronze medal and run.... See you next season!
  4. I forgot to mention....Yankees Win! 7-3. Cards still one game out of the last WC spot, last I heard.
  5. ^ Very cool story, redrum! I remember running home after school in '78 to catch the last half of the Yankees/Red Sox playoff to win the AL East. My teacher was not so cool!
  6. Have my eyes deceived me or have the Yankees just tied the game with the O's? Lots of heart with this younger Yankees team!

  10. 55 years ago today, Roger Maris hit his 61st home run of the season breaking Babe Ruth's record of 60 in a season - which had stood since 1927. Maris' record still stands today, for non-steroid using players. IMO, he should be in the Hall of Fame.
  11. Pumpkin Munchkins from Dunkin Donuts, with hazelnut coffee. Burning an apple candle while in bed with Mrs. W, getting caught up on the first two episodes of Survivor. Perfect!
  12. ^ 3 teams at 2-1 or better beats 3 teams with only 1 win every day. Plus the AFC South might even be worse than the AFC LEast....

  14. Bobble head night tonight at Yankee Stadium celebrating the late, great Roger Maris!
  15. Very sad to hear a young mother, who is a close family friend and a member of the professional golf family that we are a part of, has been diagnosed with cancer that has spread to her brain, liver, pancreas, and spine. She already had a double mastectomy and thought things were in the clear and now this. Twin toddlers to boot. We're devastated. Susan grew up with her on the tour, and is, well you know....her family has been the best to us all. Great people. Like it's my own kin. ??????????????????????????????
  16. Zeke has looked pretty good so far....
  17. It's Romo's team. Dak has said it, Garrett has said it and, most importantly, Jerrah has said it. The good thing is, at this point, they don't need to rush him back. As far as the schedule, they have played the exact same teams the rest of the division have/will play. So that's moot. Btw, Collins has torn a ligament in his foot. Good thing we didn't trade Leary for a backup qb when Romo went down in the preseason. He's out 6-10 weeks. SF this week. It'll be tough after they got throttled by Seattle Sunday. Then we get Lawrence, our best pass rusher, back from suspension. Giants lost Vereen yesterday and Jennings is still injured. Philly is looking very tough right now in the East.

  20. Reminds me of a tv show over here called "The Strain". These worms enter people and turn them into vampire type creatures. Very creepy, yet cool!
  21. The Patriots are a flat out machine!
  22. C'mon you guys HAVE to beat the Browns this weekend, they have a 3rd string quarterback and just lost their top wr to a broken hand. But 2-4 is a very real probability. Maybe even 1-5.
  23. Pats look good already.... Now let's see how the offense operates.
