  1. Moore was moved to the active roster already, so I would think he'd be the back up this week since he knows the offense better. I have to believe that Cassel will be insurance in case Weedon completely falls flat on his face or obviously gets injured. Like chase said, Cassel will fit in their short pass and run the ball offense - not a huge amount of pressure. If the defense, led by Sean Lee, continues to play like they have it really won't be tough to stay in the game for the offense. This week will be a big test with the high powered Falcons coming to town.
  2. didn't realize last night was game 2 - well we at least got them last night in 10 innings. playoff atmosphere watching that game. nice to see the Yankees follow through and fight till the end!
  3. RIP Yogi Berra, one of the all-time great American icons.
  4. ...and the Yanks sweep the Jays!
  5. Yep, just saw it. Depth is never a bad thing. Hope we can return the favor!
  6. Yes, they will - you are correct. Any team can be beaten on any given Sunday. Just sayin'...
  7. 2, what's your point? When did they disturb the karmic world, according to you? Midnight move to Indy? Yes, we will see you on Oct 11. Hope nothing happens to Tom before then.
  8. Whole Lotta Love - September 29, 1971 - Osaka, Japan
  9. So just now, after week 2 of this season, it's catching up to them? C'mon man, we all know what you were referring to. Anyway, Romo has been placed on the boomerang IR and is scheduled to be back by the Miami game - Nov. 22. They have been working out 4 veteran's today at Valley Ranch. None named Tebow...
  10. Well you did infer a reference to that "issue" with your karma statement.
  11. You're right - this is turning into the "make me laugh" thread... Colts suck. They've added older players to make them better, the only thing it's done is make them older and slower. Not a very good plan, imo.
  12. Oh no Strider you've got it all wrong! The Washington O-Line is the 2nd coming of Dallas, now that they have our old o-line coach (and former Raida coach).... Doesn't take much to stir up the foreskins crowd. Rams are the Rams. Dome or no Dome. Two qb's down - Brees and Cutler. Lacy is hurting for the Pack and rookie Coleman has a cracked rib for the Falcons.
  13. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000536182/article/texas-gov-greg-abbott-floats-tim-tebow-idea-for-cowboys Another idiot politician talking out his arse...
  14. No surgery for Romo. Should be out for 8 weeks. Weeden will start and the former Lions backup, Moore, is being looked at as coming up from the practice squad. Garrett says they are always looking to better the team and the backup situation will be officially revealed later this week. Moore knows the offense after working with the OC in Detroit for a few years. That's why they picked him up after his release. Dez is laughing at the reports that he'll be out 10-12 weeks, Cowboys say he's still on track to come back after 6-8 weeks. IF they get by Atlanta this week at home and then New Orleans next week on he road, they should still be fine. Hopefully that's how it'll play out before they get Hardy and Rolando McClain back the week of the Pats game. If Sean Lee continues to play like yesterday, that defense is going to be really special. Gregory should be back after the bye week. I'm pumped at how these guys have come together and how the "next man up" attitude is in full effect! How 'bout them Cowboys!!!!!
  15. Seriously? What about Tim Tebow's game would be of interest to the Cowboys? Rick, didn't you see the at the end of my sentence? I was pulling your leg...who knows who they'll pick up for their back-up now. It could stay in house, or they might already have had someone in mind. It's not like this scenario wasn't already a decent possibility of happening. They are not a "fly by the seat of their pants" organization.
  16. Why would we want either of those two bums??? I'm sure that IF they look elsewhere for a qb, they already have someone in mind. Their scouting department has done a fantastic job finding players that fit their system for other positions. We should have a time table for Romo's return today or tomorrow at the latest. At least it wasn't his throwing shoulder....
  17. Aye, yes they are. But at least we're 2-0 and 2-0 within the division. Romo's injury is usually 6-8 weeks. Put it 8 weeks and he misses 7-8 game (bye week is in that time span) and if we can go 4-4, at least we'd still be in the thick of things. The defense is going to get a boost in two weeks. Obviously this is tough, but that's football.... Bong-man can speak of our practice squad qb, he was under Scott Linehan in Deroit as their back up. New to the Cowboys since the last training camp cuts....
  18. ^Seems to be more interested in gay marriage as he posted there an hour ago, according to the Ramble On subsections times...
  19. Yep, it appears that way! Strong breeze coming out of the north here - must be the air going out of the Buffalo balloon! Saints are coming back, late in the 4th...
  20. Then why wouldn't they put him on the IR or at least the mini-IR? They surgery was performed at the beginning of last week. He will be back this season, otherwise the roster spot would be open right now, imo.
  21. Strider, he's doing all that he can to get somebody to respond to him...guess it worked this one time!
  22. what are you in the hospital for, Rick? Hope for a speedy recovery for you buddy! Can you wager from in there?
  23. very sorry to read this, DD. godspeed to him and my sincere condolences to you, his family and his friends.
