  1. ^ Quite a few "bye weeks" this week!
  2. I don't take it personally, Strider, but some comments have been misguided in both fact and emotion. People are gonna playfully hate each other's teams - some are a bit vicious, but not your comments. I agree with your comment about the younger Steinbrenner's attitude. Whatever, season's over for now - spring training will be here before we know it and another trip to Legend's Field in Tampa.
  3. They batted horribly, don't know how your point is proven. They had the best record in the AL over 162 games, I'll take that as playing as a team, anyday....
  4. I believe you are correct. The Orioles are a young, solid, talented team, but their extra innings record hadn't been accomplished since what 1900? Plus all of the 1 run games, etc. I'm sure they will be in it next year, if a few of those tight games go the other way and it's a whole different outcome. Still was exciting to see the organization turn things around this season. The Yanks had better have a whole different look next season, for the better!
  5. The opera will be in Europe, 2014. I know that TVC said when finishing their tour they had demos for the second disc already in place to be worked on. Just hope 2013 fits in nicely with their plans! Thanks for the input everybody!!!
  6. Is that your Mets victory dance? Ooops, sorry!
  7. Queen's castle? They have been performing better as of late, but see how they make through the two weeks following the bye before you put them in the Queen's castle! Your running backs and d-line are looking good, which bodes well in the long run - typically speaking.
  8. San Francisco Houston Green Bay Dallas New Orleans Minnesota Washington Indianapolis Buffalo New England Oakland Cincinnati Chicago
  9. Our sound was way too low at the beginning where we saw it too. Only the front speakers were on. After complaining twice, we were told it was being streamed to them from another location. After "Black Dog", it became noticeably better - still not super loud, but at least the surround sound was on. Still was a fantastic concert movie though!
  10. All I can say is...... FUCKIN' AWESOME!!!
  11. At some movie called ..... "Celebration Day" - hope it's good!
  12. Truth hurts....but it's still the truth! Until we win one that actually counts, that moniker will not change and the pressure will still mount!
  13. Who is crying? I could just say "scoreboard" and end the discussion. You guys should have your day in the sun....no, the series is not mathematically over - but for all intents and purposes it basically is. Unless your kitties do a major choke job, which is possible given that the organization hasn't won anything in over a quarter century. Or Cabrera hits the bottle and goes out driving again....to pick up Prince from the local Golden Corral.... BTW, I never said you were from Detroit - just that the people there tend to go a bit overboard with their form of "celebrating". That's all....
  14. Well, I guess when you make the playoffs as often as the Tigers do - you have to crow about it when you defeat the Yanks. Still can't believe it has been almost 30 years since the last World Series title in Detroit. I remember that season well. At least if they burn the town down this time, it'll be an improvement!
  15. Don't be humanistic now, there are more insults from others to come.....
  16. Spring training for your Orioles and your comment was uncalled for! I didn't kick you while you were down and I'm not one of those arrogant Yankee fans you argue with all the time either.
  17. ^ Ain't that the shit after everybody buried them over the past couple of weeks. Anybody but the Pats in the AFC East is good with me!
  18. Calm down Jethro - I'm just irritate with Rick's comment and you got in the cross fire. 162 doesn't matter in Yankee world, just October and Rivera is about the greatest ever in October and DJ ain't too shabby either! They brought a sense of calmness and confidence to the team when performing in the post season and that cannot be replaced. If the first 162 mattered that much, A-Roid would have two hands worth of hardware and the Braves would too! Assuming you're also a Yankees fan, I would've thought that would be obvious to you.
  19. ^^^ Arizona's o-line is so weak the RAMS ran rough shot all over Kolb so don't have delusions of grandeur about your B(J)ills just yet...plus about your should be 1-3 comment - take a "should be" in one hand and a pile of shit in the other and what do you have??? A Super Bowl-less organization!
  20. No kiddin'.... The point is they were about the only two the Yankees could count on in the post season and they are both gone. Been a long time.....and the Yankees will suffer as a result.
  21. Jealous mother fucker! See you March 2013....
  22. ^ Good positive thinking there....
  23. Then we should've played the ALCS back in April.....no Jeter or Rivera? When was the last time that happened?!? I still can't believe the Yanks even made the ALCS with the thin pitching to start the season, injuries during the season and lack of hitting down the stretch and in the playoffs. Good luck vs. the NL Detroit! I have league loyalty...
