Those a beautiful courses, gentlemen! I used to play often, but now not very often at all....kid, time and money are all contributors to me lack of play these past few years. Living in the professional golf captital (Central Florida), having a brother-in-law who is a professional golf instructor and a father-in-law who was a long time pro (now basically retired) makes one take it for granted that golf is always around. I should get out and play more, but I always tell myself that and never seem to go and do it. This winter would be a great time to pick up the clubs again and hit the links! We shall see..... Remember they are in the game of selling ad time and getting people to pay attention. Over exposing controversial teams (ie Cowboys, Jets, etc.) to accomplish that is one way they do it, another is making some outlandish predictions to make a story bigger than it is (ie Arizona being 4-0 and now headed for the Super Bowl after playing only the month of September ). I don't know why anybody pays that close attention to what sports writers report - they're just in the business of selling soap. Ex-players I'll pay attention to, but they basically fall into the same categories as the writers do anymore.

Making the playoffs wouldn't have helped Trout, the statistics end after the regular season is over. As far as traveling goes, their not taking the pony express anymore so it's not like an extra hour on a chartered jet playing cards with their buddies is that tough. The time zones I'll give ya though.
