I completely agree with the article above called the original 007 music unbeatable. I'm baffled at all these remakes of films, remakes of soundtracks, all trying to "modernize" old classics. None of the James Bond movies after Sean Connery can match the originals. Even as good as Roger Moore was, he is second fiddle to Connery. Analog gadgets are so much cooler than digital ones too. I don't know what happened over time with movies and TV shows, but they pale in comparison to the oldies. Even the Bond women were so much more voluptuous and "real" back then.

The acting is this movie was so convincing. I think you'll find focusing on Ahmet's part this way. "You think pennies, you'll get pennies; You think dollars, you'll get dollars!"
-
Did you see "Ray" reids? If so, did you think this curtis fellow played Ahmet well?
-
I don't know anything about how much actual footage there is of Ahmet available, but in the movie "Ray" (Ray Charles), Ahmet is depicted prominently by a great actor and I'd assume he fairly accurately depicts him. Jamie Fox did so well as Ray, and Charles was "overseeing" the production so I'm sure Ahmet's part was equally acted competently. I recommend checking out this movie for a bit of Ahmet's early business techniques. He was generous, humorous and so music savvy. He was at ground zero in the development of Rock and Roll and Ray Charles was one of the pioneers as well, often overlooked in this regard.

Problem? Only when others interfere, usually.

What is Robert trying to do?
RoundRobin replied to Detigers09's topic in O2 Arena Concert, London - 12.10.07
With Robert realizing and expressing to Beverly Keel that he has 7 or so different Robert's, he understands there are fans who focus on particular aspects of his career. If he can do it, other fans should be able to accept that without calling it sad. The only sad thing is they'll have to wait. Hopefully their wish will come before it's too late. -
Good things come from those who wait as well as those who are wiating.

The rebeling comes from the unconscience but reveals itself in the conscience. I'm aware of the obtuse viewpoints I have as compared to what's expected. My heart DOES rule my mind. Usually.
-
I have no idea who you promised, but please promise me you'll tell it ALL!
-
I've never seen it. I often get the "you ought to read such and such" after quipping my views. I say "I'm already there", though I could certainly learn a few things or two. The rebel is inherent in my makeup.
-
I've always been a rebel. I don't know otherwise. But it's not without a cause. I follow my own heart and quite often that's counter to the mainstream. I rarely compromise.

Blame the groupies for no reunion tour!

Jimmy and Robert, "The mammaries aren't as perky as they used to be!" -
OH Hell yeah! I don't even want to compare those with the 02. They were galaxies apart. I would say the 02 was as good as many of the better shows from '75 onward.

Mick Jagger officially a senior
RoundRobin replied to The Pagemeister's topic in Other Bands / Music
It was nice to see them back when their concert tickets were about the cost of an album. I refuse to believe Mick is 65. I just can't fathom it. -
The great shows more than make up for the lousy ones. There's plenty of excellent shows to listen to to stay occupied.

It's p(l)ainly obvious.
