  1. Another day, another Prime Minister. Welcome Rishi. Happy Diwali, soon to take over Christmas as our religious Holiday(s)
  2. An excellent start to the super 12's. What a game yesterday between India and Pakistan? Last ball win for India against the bearded ones was a classic
  3. You really think that England are in the "rest to make up the numbers" as Ireland and Namibia? Current 50 over Champions whose batting line up has Liam Livingstone coming in at No.7? I agree with you of course. Test match Cricket is the true game.
  4. Is it because you got hammered by the Kiwi's?
  5. When we entered Melbourne for the 2nd time in 2 years to work (illegally). I was a bit wasted from the flight from Bangkok. On arrival, immigration asked us what the purpose was of our visit. As the Cricket World Cup was on 1992, I drew breath and blurted out " Coming to watch us Poms give you lot a good thrashing". He cracked a big smile and said in that great Aussie accent: "You're right mate. Enjoy your stay"
  6. Can't wait for the ultimate U turn in British Political history. "Welcome back Boris, we didn't mean to kick you out" I really hope we don't get a general election, as these Buffoons are just too comical for words. It's a fucking disgrace.
  7. Absolutely beautiful out there this morning. Cloudless sky and the high will be 16c. A beautiful Autumn Day. A round of golf is in order me thinks
  8. I think you have shown exactly what you should have. Keep that bowl EMPTY
  9. Sorry Sean, I meant you are drinking Boddies Ice Cold. It's not served cold here. As a bit of history, when I went to a lot of gigs in the 70's at Manchester's Free Trade Hall, there was a pub next door to the venue called Cox's Bar. It was a real Manchester pub not a bar in the literal sense. Boddies was the house beer and lovely it was too. I don't drink beer now but there were many a times we would have a few before shows at the most iconic of venues.
  10. As the UK is the largest grower and exporter of (Medical) Cannabis, this stupid Government wants to re classify the beneficial herb to a Class A. The same class as Crack, Cocaine and Heroin. This means it is a drug of NO medicinal or beneficial value. The total hypocrisy is not lost on me. You just can't make these things up? Shambles.
  11. Boddies, Ice Cold????? I assume you mean Boddington's Bitter? Should be served "tepid". Manchester's finest
  12. Yes Newcastle. Keeps your bank balance healthy, I guess?
  13. England women 2- USA Women 1.
  14. I recognise Bacon and maybe an omelette at the front? What is the yellow stuff with a knobette of butter? Creamed Corn or the elusive Grits? Plastic cutlery? Oh dear
  15. Made my own Piri Piri marinade. Got 6 chicken thighs marinating which we will have with French Fries. Wine and a few joints to mull over the week and listen to tunes.
  16. We've looked into Solar. However, as the sun hardly comes out here, we decided not to bother as it would take years to break even
  17. You can add Reykjavik 1970 to the list. From what I recall, it was part of the filming which started with The Albert Hall in January and continued with Bath. That little snippet on the official DVD is one if the highlights of the set and really don't understand where the rest of that is? As far as Bath is concerned, as the band allowed the filming, for anything officially to be released, then there must be a multi-track recording to accompany the (poorly) filmed show, one would think?
  18. If you have the time and do a bit of searching, I recommend you get the Bootleg of the LA Forum show. "Burn Like A Candle" or "A Night At The Heartbreak Hotel". This will give you the complete show. It is the audience recording so wont sound professionally mixed. However, what you do get is warts and all with Plants comments and the atmosphere is really great. Page, as usual, royally fucked the production of the official release. It sounds shit, compressed and with no Plantations or atmosphere and fake crowd. "You tube" it and see what the gig really sounded like.
  19. Sunny, warm with blue skies. A lovely Autumn Day
