  1. Spag Bol. Some good wine and a crafty Priscilla
  2. Had a devilled Mackeral for dinner last eveing. Wonderful. Melted butter and added some Paprika,Cayenne Pepper,Ground Coriander,Red Wine Vinegar,Mustard Powder and salt and pepper. Scored the Mackeral every 1/2 " and rolled the fish in the marinade. Grilled for 5 mins. Served with a simple salad of tomato, onion, fresh mint and lemon juice. Some fried Potatoes on the side also. The best thing was the fish just fell off the bone and you were left with a "cartoon" fish skeleton on completion. It was so good I am going to do the fish again but in a Jerk stylee or maybe a tikka masala
  3. Yes good move Slave. Turkey is the blandest meat and to make it all tasty is an effort. Yes an onion and lemon in the cavity will help. Chuck in some 'erbs too. Some Tarragon or Thyme even a garlic clove or too. The CP's are having a Capon this year. I will do it the same as a chook but with a few extras. Chipolatas, bacon and some 'erbs. Good luck S
  4. Don't joke man. The word "His or Male" should never be uttered in the grow room
  5. Your most Welcome Squire. Mrs CP says we should plan for twins next year
  6. And pray tell Magic what has been placed on top of the said Ryvita? Cheesy Wotsits now there's a snack that is so weird to eat. They just disappear in you mouth. Best not go to the dentist after a bag of those golden nibbles?
  7. Have just had a call from a very good friend who I gave a couple of g's of Priscilla to. He rates it right up there with the finest green he has had. And if i maybe so bold to say, he's dead right. The CP's sampled her at the weekend, and I laughed so much I nearly agreed to drink a coffee.
  8. Porridge for breaky today, bowl of Blueberries with Natural Yogurt, half a Red Grapefruit. Glass of OJ
  9. Curries. Red,Green,Yellow, Masamam, Jungle . Pad Thai. Noodles, duck, oh yes duck. You will also need the sweet basil the Thais love so much. Bit of an aniseed twist to this basil and it's pretty hard to find. Also the Thais use these wonderful baby aubergines and pea aubergines , which are slightly bitter but go well in a sweet curry. Tom Yum is traditionally done with Prawns and it is one of my favs. I trust you used fresh lemon grass? Thai Aubergines Pea Aubergines
  10. A good idea Slave is to pack butter under the skin pushing it down with your fingers without tearing the skin. Streaky unsmoked bacon over the top is a good idea as this keeps the breast succulent. Cover the bird completely with foil to prevent burning but make sure you leave enough room for the air to circulate. Now roast the bird on a high heat 425f or 220c for 30-40 mins. Then turn the heat down to 170c and roast for say 3 hours for a 12lb bird. Then remove foil and bacon and turn up the heat to 200c to brown the bird for a furtther 30 mins. Leave to rest for at least 60 mins. This of course allows you to do any roast veg you wish to serve it.

  15. Thanks for your help guys. I probabaly do Kate but then so do a lot of people who don't like the dark and cold. I feel much better today - It will be a dry and sunny day - what does that tell you? Hey Mini . Mrs CP is a fab lady
  16. The ability to make it happy in anyway possible. My mood is very bad today. I have done basically nothing proactive and I have no motivation. It's the dark and wet and cold that does it. Every year gets worse and worse. But Mrs CP will be home shortly and that always raises my spirits.
