  1. Agree to a point Shep. I don't have any problems with my life really so just to lie on a beach and smoke some Charas and swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean gives me a lift. Anyway I am going for a cup of Assam and some chums have just called to drag me out of my winter slumber and take me for a round. Thanks anyway for your concern
  2. Definately. I have said already that I suffer from SAD. It comes and goes but today it is certainly with me. I would alleviate the problem by taking a winter holiday to say Goa. But I can't face the airport any more and the thought of a 12 hour + flight to the sub continent fills me full of dread. It will pass when I see the sun and the sky any other colour then grey. It could be a long wait?
  3. Ahhhhhh 2013's weather is no different to last years. Grey Grey Grey and rainy. I have decided to notch on the calender the amount of days it rains here and I bet you it will be at least 300. I really think climate change is here and there ain't nowt we can do about it. I mean when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's I remember long hot summers and cold snowy winters. Today as I type on 3rd Jan it is dark, grey and wet but the temp is about 10 degrees c. Very mild for January. Last year was non stop rain and greyness, in fact the worst I can remember. I truly believe the days of long hot summers and snowy cold winters are lost forever and I feel for the gerneration who has to grow up in this bleak grey climate. Therefore I am really unhappy today
  4. Good lad. Maybe this year you could grow a little lady? She was the star of our New Years evening. We cooked a beef wellington and had loads of wine with some chums and laughed all the way till the small hours
  5. Oh deary me. A calamity and no mistake. Fortunatey it wouldn't happen round as we don't have carpets. Go and score another stick.
  6. What does that tell you about drinking sugar filled sodas then Paul?
  7. Dinner is a Kashmiri Chicken curry, Chana Dhal, Roti
  8. Mrs CP is making her all time classic Paella this evening to bring a little Spanish to the dreary weather outside. I have a varied choice of Riojas to go with it and no doubt I'll get my fingers nimble at some point. Scored a box set Eddie Izzard over the festive period so no doubt I will go to bed smiling - one way or another
  9. I sure could roll one on any part of that creature
  10. Same same. Mild around 50 f (10 c). Dull and misty. Occasionally drizzly moderate but good. Sorry i sound like the shipping forecast
  11. Kelly Brook. eeemmmm delicious Kelly Brook. eeemmmmmm delicious. Imagine what a week with this could be like?
  12. Tea man myself, Assam is very tasty as is Darjeeling. Earl Grey for a change or decaf green in the evening. Coffee? Only decaff and that's as rare as a dry and sunny day
  13. Streuth man makes our 6 lb capon seem like a light snack. Did you survive the calorie attack?
  14. I have the impending doom of the new year approaching. I made the mistake of inviting and cooking for chums and I don't feel the inclination to do either. I have this feeling most years - ever since the last time I did mushrooms on a Thai beach back in 1990. It was a very scary event and the only new years eve I have really enjoyed is the times we went to Barcelona. Mrs CP reckons I have an allergy to the this time of year. It will pass and on the big night all will go to plan - anyway we have Priscilla with us this year and she will be most welcome.
  15. Spag Bol. Some good wine and a crafty Priscilla
  16. Had a devilled Mackeral for dinner last eveing. Wonderful. Melted butter and added some Paprika,Cayenne Pepper,Ground Coriander,Red Wine Vinegar,Mustard Powder and salt and pepper. Scored the Mackeral every 1/2 " and rolled the fish in the marinade. Grilled for 5 mins. Served with a simple salad of tomato, onion, fresh mint and lemon juice. Some fried Potatoes on the side also. The best thing was the fish just fell off the bone and you were left with a "cartoon" fish skeleton on completion. It was so good I am going to do the fish again but in a Jerk stylee or maybe a tikka masala
  17. Yes good move Slave. Turkey is the blandest meat and to make it all tasty is an effort. Yes an onion and lemon in the cavity will help. Chuck in some 'erbs too. Some Tarragon or Thyme even a garlic clove or too. The CP's are having a Capon this year. I will do it the same as a chook but with a few extras. Chipolatas, bacon and some 'erbs. Good luck S
  18. Don't joke man. The word "His or Male" should never be uttered in the grow room
  19. Your most Welcome Squire. Mrs CP says we should plan for twins next year
