Ruth's Chris is not nearly as good down here as it used to be. The one by Reagan Airport in DC was great when I was up there. Is it still around, ebk?
Also, @LedZeppfan77, if you're looking for a great steak while you're in Tampa Bay area.... Bern's Steakhouse is the BEST around and terrific atmosphere!! Gotta make reservations early on though.
I try really, really hard not to go anywhere near National Airport, so I don't know if that Ruth's Chris is still there.
However, your recommendation of Bern's for Rick is spot on! I was going to suggest that myself at some point, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Nothing special today, just an old favorite.... extra crunchy Jiff peanut butter and Blackberry seedless All Fruit jelly on Italian bread.
The question is always.... crunchy or smooth peanut butter? You know my preference!
That is not a question - crunchy is always the answer!!
However, you are mistaken on your PB brand - Skippy. Always Skippy.

Thanks for advice. Even though I have I phone and Apple laptop I have never used Apple pay? I assume that is what you mean? I have the tickets in my saved folder and on the MLB App. I actually might have the chance to see two games as I will be on Treasure Island the night before when the Orioles are playing a night game. My wife isnt going to two. No way. The one we have the tickets for are box's. It says "behind netting" on all seats behind the Orioles dugout. I would have paid like $133 a ticket to be right behind the dugout. Only two seats were left. But I am only a few rows up and its like $65 a ticket instead. So I settled for those. Should be fine. Never been to that stadium
All my tickets are in the MLB Ballpark app. Works great.
And all of the seats in the lower deck at all stadiums are now behind netting. The nets go from foul pole to foul pole. I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time!

I occasionally buy that. The Reserva is good too. How was it? It costs about £8 here.
@ebk. How goes it Esther?
It goes. And there's nothing I can do to stop it...
Sorry it took so long to answer. It's been one of those months.
On topic - cheeseburgers and roasted sweet potatoes. And a Rosso di Montepulciano 🍷

Scored 10th row seats for the Plant/Krauss show in St. Augustine. Bringing Junior along so he can see the legend and experience the aura of seeing him perform live!
Yay! A fine time will be had by all!!

Never let a stupid idea interfere with Rob's job as MLB commisioner. That's been proven more than once....
This is because the commissioner hates baseball.

Happy Wine Wednesday. My most recent purchase.
Lovely! Hope it's good.
I'm finishing up a bottle of Malbec that I opened in memory of my sister. Her birthday would have been this past Sunday and she loved Malbec.

FYI:
Home dugout positions in every team's ballpark.
AMERICAN LEAGUE

Chicago White Sox: third base side
Cleveland Indians: third base side
Detroit Tigers: third base side
Houston Astros: first base side
Kansas City Royals: first base side
Los Angeles Angels: third base side
Minnesota Twins: first base side
New York Yankees: first base side
Oakland As: third base side
Seattle Mariners: first base side
Tampa Bay Rays: first base side
Texas Rangers: first base side
Toronto Blue Jays: third base side
NATIONAL LEAGUE
Arizona Diamondbacks: third base side

New York Mets: first base side
Philadelphia Phillies: first base side
Pittsburgh Pirates: third base side

San Diego Padres: first base side

Very helpful.
My criteria for choosing where to sit is where will I be out of the sun. And that's always from behind home plate down the third base side. So look for me there.

Just picked up 3 tix to the Yankees/Tigers game on St Patty’s Day at Lakeland. We tried in 2020 but COVID shut us down just before…then we had tix last year but the lockout fucked us….I want green beer!!
That's a nice ballpark (at least as far as I can remember ). Have fun! And drink lots of green beer!!!

Actually there is no work until the season ends. Its not like your grading day to day or week to week like in football. Its only the division winners and wild cards. Then maybe the playoffs. Think it over pal. We have about a month.
I may be looking into getting box seats behind the Orioles dugout for June 21 or 22 when the Orioles visit Tampa. Might hit Clearwater which I have never been to. Only that and the Keys are lacking from my many visits to Florida. My cousins in Sunrise have passed away sadly. There kids are around but I was much closer to them.
So does anyone here ever go to Tampa Rays games? I want to be in shouting distance of the Orioles dugout. Unlike my botched purchase in San Fransisco where I wound up behind the stinking Giants dugout.
Clearwater is a beach. If you've been to a beach, it's nothing special.
The visitors dugout is on the 3rd base side. Right now, it looks like there are plenty of seats available starting about 5 rows back. They're $100 each. That's for the evening game. I didn't look at the matinee game. Probably more tickets available for that one. It's an okay stadium,, as indoor stadiums go.
We sat upstairs when we went and it was fine. Honestly, it's usually so empty that the team could hear you yell at them from wherever you sit.
Go to Berns in Tampa to have dinner.

I was thinking of getting a ticket to see The Heavy, playing at a club in San Francisco this spring, but I've never been to one of their shows, although I like their songs. Anyone been to one of their shows? I'm wondering how they are live.
FWIW, I saw them several years ago at a small venue. They put on a great show, but I wish I'd had earplugs because it was LOUD. It took a few days before me hearing was back to normal. That said, I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Gary Oelze, the founder of The Birchmere, a wonderful venue in Alexandria, VA, died this week. I love going there and eating overpriced food, enjoying some local beer and hearing great performers. We're going to see Lyle Lovett in March. I guess I should buy the book about the place that was released last year.
Thanks for the good times and the music, Gary!

Your video is blocked.
If you click on the "Watch on YouTube" line, you can watch it on YouTube. You just can't watch it in this website because they want to get the clicks, or something like that. So it's not totally blocked.

After much consideration (hahahahaha), I'm going with all of the home teams. Just because.

Like I said, I suck at picking playoffs…almost as bad as the Chargers suck at winning playoff games!!
But you have a beautiful setup there! That counts way more than the game

But NBC's broadcast of the Chargers@Jax game was execrable. Al and Tony were duds, the audio was weird, and the whole broadcast felt off. What was Al even doing there? I thought he left to join Amazon with Kirk Herbstreit and Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth were the NBC crew?
NBC is also showing the Ravens game tonight, so I'd guess that's where the A crew is. Interesting that they pulled Michaels back for the game last night. It really was an awful broadcast. Fun game - awful broadcast.

I remember when we drove out to St. Pete Beach, there was a small bridge that charged a toll. So I guess it depends on how he gets off the island part and into St Pete proper.
I agree that Clearwater isn't far from anything. I just don't know why he (or anyone) would want to go to Clearwater after spring training is over...
