Mazel tov Junior!!  This is great news!  One of my close "imaginary" friends is a Gator... I still like him :)

Really happy for Junior  - and his parents!  And that looks like a fabulous meal... yum!!

One of our favourite EVER films is Priscila Queen Of The Desert. Though watching it you could realise why Aussies don't like Drag Queens? When we were there in 1993 Mrs CP was not even welcome in the pub.

Do you include the great Barry Humphries in that? We have tickets for the wonderful man in May

Dame Edna played the theatre where I worked many years ago (the show was there many years ago, and I worked there for many years, many years ago).  He really is a very friendly, nice person.

Blonde on Blonde. The White Album. Electric Ladyland. Exile on Main St. Sign O' the Times. All in the conversation with Physical Graffiti. The Wall...not so much.

All of these (also minus The Wall) plus, for me:

    Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

    Jesus Christ Superstar

    Judy at Carnegie Hall

    Benny Goodman at Carnegie Hall

Plus a $91 service charge per ticket. No thanks, Sir Macca.

It was actually $91 for 2 tickets.  I figured out they're charging a percentage of the total ticket price instead of the (also ridiculous) flat fee of somewhere between $10 an $20 per ticket like they used to. So the better (more expensive) seats have even more ridiculous fees.   I'm still pissed off about it.

Wonderful. Yes I did brown the meat first:

Well season the Brisket. In the frying pan add a good glug of olive oil. Sear the meat on all sides. Put in the cooker. I browned Onion, Carrot, Celery and a few cloves of garlic in the frying pan. Add to the meat. 1 Ltr of Beef stock , a good splash of Worcestershire sauce and a small glass of red wine goes in with a herb selection of Rosemary, Thyme and Bay Leaves. Cooked on low for 10 hours. Remove the meat to a warm serving plate and keep warm. Squeeze all the veg through a sieve with the stock into a pan. Reduce the gravy adding a roux of flour and butter if it needs to thicken.

I've just added "have cp cook dinner for me" to my bucket list.  Yummmmmmmmmmmm

Actually, I added it a long time ago.  One day, when I'm traveling again...

  6. I love Buck.

And Rick, the home team is not always in one dugout.  It depends on the stadium.  In Memorial Stadium, the Os were in the third base dugout.  In Camden Yards, the first base side.  So you should check before you buy tickets in each stadium.

I've never been to Ft. Lauderdale, so I had to google Tom Jenkins. Just looking at the photos would suggest they are 2 different franchises....

If you ever get to Ft Lauderdale, definitely drop by Tom Jenkins.  It's soooooo good.

Just your basic Quiche Lorraine with ham, bacon and Gruyère cheese.

Today's breakfast was scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, cream cheese, sherry wine and scallions, with grilled rosemary potatoes and bagels and cream cheese, hot English Breakfast tea w/lemon and honey, and orange juice.

This is a perfect meal. Except for the tea.  I'd go with coffee.

I don’t know how you can even watch that show. Skip Bayless was unbearable back in the 90’s when I first saw him the Sunday “Sports Reporters” show.

This!!  It pains me that Rick Bayless has to acknowledge that Skip is his brother.  Blech.

Well, perhaps "pains me" is a bit of hyperbole.  Rick is talented.  Skip is not.

  9. I don't know if it will be settled in time for Spring Training, but I think there will be at least some regular season.  At least I hope so, since it's the 30th anniversary of Camden Yards.

Hey, if I can't be excited for the team, I may as well be excited for the ballpark ;)
