I saw on the news that she pulled out because of "personal reasons that only her immediate family know about". They say it has nothing to do with Ted's problems though. Anyways, she may not have been the most qualified for the Senate, but I do think she is a very elegant and classy lady coming from all of the tragedies she has lived through, losing her dad, mom and brother, not to mention alot of the scandals that have happened in her family.

Another good one. Sugarland featuring Little Big Town and Jake Owen did a country remake of this last year. I thought it was pretty good. The original reminds me of when I was in the 8th grade. Some fun memories.

I agree that was great! I would love to hear that too! I saw Alison do this version with Dwight Yoakam on the Johnny Cash special a few years back. I have also heard Robert doing his version on You Tube. Good stuff! I know I have said before I want them to do more original tunes this time around but I wouldn't mind a couple of covers.

Halle was the first to win for best actress in a lead role although Hattie won for supporting actress before her. I didn't feel she deserved it for playing that type of role either. I wasn't the least bit interested in seeing Monsters Ball to tell you the truth. I heard it wasn't all that great anyways. As a black woman myself, she certainly wasn't speaking for me when she said "this is for black women everywhere"! I do like her as an actress though, but not that role! Back to the noms, the only movie I saw was Dark Knight. I hope Kate Winslet finally wins for best actress, I didn't see the movie, but I think she is fabulous and is long overdue for a win and of course I hope Heath wins, which I think he will. Too bad he isn't alive to see it though.

It was funny to see Robert mouthing the words in the video and her singing over top of it, LOL!! It would be neat if they sang it together on the new album.

I bought that up in post#14. It was a show called "The List" that used to come on VH1 from 1999-2000.

There was a live feed to CNN set up in one of our conference rooms at work and I got to watch some of it. I did get to see the part of him and Biden getting sworn in and then about the first 10 minutes of his speech, but unfortunately had to go back to work. Made my day, I must say!

No problem! I understand what you are saying, I just happen to like the songs listed on these compilations. This is actually the first time I have bought some of the NOW compilations. Haven't been too interested in the other versions. Don't get me wrong, I like some old school country too.

I agree! Love them both. When I am feeling down, I have to put on some upbeat stuff, don't mind slow songs, as long as they are not sad.
