Wolfman Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 (edited) Great show at the Beacon in NYC last night as Steely Dan performed my favorite album by them, The Royal Scam. This was part of their Rent Party tour. As usual, some of music's best players were part of the band performing with Fagan & Becker including the legendary guitarist Larry Carlton. Other musicians included: Jon Herington on guitar, saxophonist Walt Weiskopf, Keith Carlock on drums, Freddie Washington on bass, and several others (there was 13 in all). A funny note is that before the show began, one of the backup singers, Carolyn Leonhardt, walked up to the corner of the front stage where there was a record player and placed a needle on on the actual TRS album (and flipped the record when the first side of the TRS was over). I can't find the actual setlist but they played TRS and then several other tunes. Excellent show. 1. Kid Charlemagne 2. The Caves Of Altamira 3. Don't Take Me Alive 4. Sign In Stranger 5. The Fez 6. Green Earrings 7. Haitian Divorce 8. Everything You Did 9. The Royal Scam Other tunes included: Black Friday Josie Aja Hey Nineteen Daddy Don't Live in That New York City No More Reelin' In The Years Edited August 1, 2009 by Wolfman Quote
