georgio
I read the amazon.com review of the new Zep book "Shadows Taller than our Soul" and it mentions that Since I've Been Loving You was derived from Moby Grape's "Never." I didn't realise how similar the songs were lyrically until I checked the track out here: http://earfarm.com/music/01%20Never.mp3 or here The lyrics are identical in two phrases and the tempo does appear to be the template for what Zep would do later...just wondering if there were any blues songs that Moby based this on lyrically? Plant was brilliant at taking vocal refrains from songs of the era. "When the Levee Breaks" includes a direct refrain from Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well" too - not to mention the tempo of "Black Dog"

BonzoLikeDrumer
Yeah, they do resemble one another but I like Led Zeppelin's way better.
LuiZG20
The Moby Grape song is good but also boring at the end... so, not so good.
