Favorite gear?

I cannot say that I've run the gamut on equipment, but my favorite electric was a 1963 Gibson SG. I ran it through a Fender Deluxe solid state. (I have never played through tube, maybe I should give it a try). My Samson tru-diversity wireless was a Godsend. I walked out of a music shop with a used Alvarez 12-string for a $150 steal. It had an adjustable bridge. Very unique but it sounded like heaven. For electric strings, I couldn't beat Dean Markley's Blue Steel. I like phosphor bronze for my acoustics. I hate hard plastic picks. I must go with nylons, around the .70 or .80 range. Have never used a whammy bar. I hate distortion pedals. Much rather get it more naturally through the amp. I had a set of Boss effects. Flange, phaser, and digital echo. alvarez12-string.giftriplejam.jpgangusandbryan.jpgdaddariophosphorbronze.jpgbluesteel.jpg

Amazon has a Dean Acoustic-Electric for $279 as their musical instrument deal of the day through 12:00pm CST (one hour and a half from now). Selling for $279 .... retails for over $600.

"It's Over"

Not a Les Paul or Fender, but looked like a good deal for an aspiring musician with limited funds.

Damn, zepp's_apprentice. Your're quite the young musician!

All I have is an Epiphone LP, 30 watt Marshall solid-state, and crappy old acoustic. :(

Oh, I do have a Crybaby From Hell Wah that's pretty cool.

The top items on my list are:

Tube amp of some kind

Traditional LP

Black Beauty LP

Strat(American)

A twelve string acoustic(any kind will do)

Some new strings :)

Aha.

Well, just the fact that you have a Les Paul Traditional (Im asumming it's a Gibson because I don't think Epiphone has the Traditional) makes me jealous of your rig.

Nice but, do your self a favor and never ever buy anything musical with the word Boss on it!

I never liked anything they made, just sounded bad all around to my ear's!
