Mudslider Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 Hello One thing I always noticed about Zeppelin compared to other bands was the "buzz" of the crowd prior to the lights going down for their concerts. I had the privlidge of seeing them three times, all in Seattle in 73, 75 and 77. The pre-concert atmosphere was unbelievable. Many others I have spoken to say the same thing. Bands usually select the music to be played over the PA system to get set the mood, etc (not that Zep needed that!!) Does anyone know what music Zeppelin used over the PA system prior to their concerts? I know in Seattle 1977 it was "The Eagles" (maybe others, but I remember that much). I know the Page/Plant 95' tour used Creem or Bob Marley while the 98' tour was various arabic music so it seemed. Thanks in advance! Quote
lzzoso Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I read somewhere that some music by "Supertramp" was played before some of their shows on the "Tour Over Europe 1980". I believe that Bonzo was a fan of Supertramp. Quote
ledzepfilm Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 A Skynyrd Song was played before Zep hit the stage at Knebworth on August 4th, 1979. Quote
Mudslider Posted August 15, 2011 Author Posted August 15, 2011 Thank you all. I have also heard the Eagles were played during the 1977 American tour. Quote
