dazedcat
It's a wonder Cream managed to play a show let alone record. Between Baker and Bruce..........talk about dysfunctional. Still, Ginger Baker (in my most humble opinion) was among the very best, if not THE best.
tom kid
Looks great, can't wait to see it. His drumming with Blind Faith was awesome as well.
Sagittarius Rising
I prefer John Bonham and Neal Peart, they are two of the few drummers who could make a drum solo listenable. Even the great Buddy Rich would drive me crazy banging the hell out of his snare over and over and over and over...Of course once the great Bonzo extended his drum solo past 15 minutes even he lost me. Those 77' 45 min drum solos...really??? I would have started a punk band myself if I had to endure that.
The Rover
Ginger did some (uncredited) percussion work on a track from Paul McCartney's Band On The Run album, recorded in Nigeria. "Picasso's Last Words (Drink To Me)"
Dowsey
I saw Ginger Baker in the 80's with Hawkwind at the Odeon Birmingham (UK) Ginger kept going for a piss all through the set..
