Could The Clash tour without Joe Strummer ?

For years (uptil Harrisons death) The Beatles were supposed to be reforming with various replacements for Lennon

Im surprised that theres been no mention of a possible Clash reunion with Strummer replacement ,they were asked to reform a few times when he was alive.unlike Lennon his death put an end to reunion rumours.

mick jones and topper headon of the clash play together at a carbon/silicon gig

Former Clash stars Mick Jones and Paul Simonon have revived their punk partnership by recording together for the first time in almost 30 years.in the gorillaz

HOW about Tim Armstrong , Billie Joe Armstrong ,Elvis Costello or Bruce Springsteen as a stand in ?

Maybe they could do a Queen style tribute gig with different guest vocals on different songs

No. The Clash could barely function without Topper Headon nevermind without Headon & Mick Jones. If anyone solely represented The Clash best it was Strummer yet he alone was not The Clash. Paul Simonom was the wisest while Strummer was still alive, just leave it be, it's where it's supposed to be. Now that Strummer is ten years gone there is no need for a Strummer-less version of "Cut The Crap", the first one with him alone was bad enough. I say this as a fan who listens to something Strummer related every single day.
