ledsabbath
I was watching a youtube video of the Page/Coverdale collaboration. The concert venue was Osaka , Japan, and they were performing the Zeppelin classic, 'Black Dog'. Is it just me or does David Coverdale sound uncannily like Robert Plant here? If I didn't watch the video but only heard it, I would swear it was Robert Plant singing. Tell me I'm not crazy here. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=ndnBVty054A&...feature=related

pop
Personally I don't think he sounds any more like Robert Plant than Axle Rose does or any of the myriad of heavy metal screechers for that matter but then I just don't like that kind of stuff so am likely to not see it...?.... Robert Plant had sublime characteristics to his singing and persona that have not been matched in the mainstream (if at all)....it is what makes Zeppelin great and all the others merely good. Of course to me Coverdale is not good at all but that's just a personal preference.
