Something to do before the gig on Monday

As quite a few attendees are from out of town, you might not be aware that there is an exhibition of stuff from Tutankhamun’s tomb on at the O2, right next to where the gig is.

I know someone on this very forum that went to see that this last weekend !!! think Whyalla was checking out the arena for next week !! Will be worth a look anyhow !!

Even their web site is pretty spectacular! I think I may well pay that a visit sometime in the next week--thanks for the info.

I went Sunday gone, it's good but there isn't the death masks or sarcophagus. But lots of artifacts found in the tomb. The exhibition space has been done out really well and it's interesting. But beware the merchandise shop. Very expensive.

The O2 itself is great, once you get into the dome itself there are lots of restaurants, a cinema and an ice-rink! And all this is open to the public on the night of the concert, so I should imagine it's going to get very busy in there. When we went down the Jubilee line wasn't running from Canary Wharf to Greenwich so they put on buses, which was a nightmare, but their's no maintenance planned for this weekend. Leaving the O2 we got stuck in traffic and missed our scheduled train home, but luckily managed to get a later one, although we did contemplate getting on the Eurostar and popping over to Paris for the night!

I've already booked to see this on the Monday, I'd have liked to have seen it anyway; now I can see two lots of ancient artifacts on tha same day!
