  1. 1 - The Stooges self titled. Not sure if they're metal or punk or just The Stooges, but the song "1969" blew me away when I first hear it, and still does to this day. The rest of the album is great, too: 2 - Electric Food - Terrible name, great band. A precursor to the mighty Lucifer's Friend. Early '70s hard rock with keyboards. Gun - Self Titled. "Devil's Gun" is the best known song from this late '60's debut. Lots of good stuff on the rest of the album Dust - Self Titled. Just awful cover art, but a hard rockin' album. Starts with "Stone Woman" and picks up from there: Sir Lord Baltimore - "Kingdom Come". Similar to Budgie in that they cranked out chunks of molten rock that not enough people heard.
  2. Bootledz has you covered: Comparisons of various releases: http://www.bootledz.com/comparisons/7580.htm Recommendations for each show: http://www.bootledz.com/mypicks.htm
  3. Thanks. Check your messages for the links to the whole show.
  4. I'm glad you liked it. Check your messages for the links to the rest of the show.
  5. For what it's worth, this remaster is the one I'm happiest with. I'm never 100% satisfied with any of them, but this is the one that comes the closest to the sound I'm trying to achieve with the '77 boards.
  6. This is the NorthBridge remaster, although the only '77 show I've posted here before this one was the Seattle video. I also posted the Glasgow 72 show, but nothing else from '77.
  7. Agreed. I think if this came out before Empress Valley started putting out their soundboards, it would be getting a lot more positive attention. It's a clear, consistent recording of a really good show with a unique performance of Mona thrown in for good measure. I'm glad it's out, and people are still putting the effort into finding these things decades after the shows took place. Thanks to all involved in tracking this down and making it public.
  8. I remastered the May 21, 1977 Houston show. Here's a sample. If anyone wants the full show, send me a message:
  9. So almost US$400 for previously released sources? Seems optimistic on EV's part. I wonder if the Houston show is the standard soundboard or my remaster of it? If anyone picks up this set, can you tell me if Sick Again from the Houston show sounds like the version below? Also, if anyone wants my full remaster of the Houston show, send me a message.
  10. No shots of the back to indicate what the sources might be. Can anyone translate the Japanese text on the front to English?
  11. I read on another site that what you described was what happened. The right channel was unusable so they took the left one and copied it to the right channel, creating a mono recording. Also, there are a couple of remasters already. I did one, which I can send you a link to if you want. There's a sample of it earlier in this thread so you can tell if it's to your liking before you download it. Also, dadgad apparently did one as well. No word so far on Winston, although he stops by here occasionally so maybe he'll let us know if he does one.
  12. Here's an interesting article about the May 17, 1969 show in Athens, Ohio. Sounds like Zep crushed it when they opened for Jose Feliciano. It includes pictures from the show and backstage. http://projects.thepostathens.com/SpecialProjects/basketball-edition-2019/the-song-remains-the-same-led-zeppelin-jose-feliciano.html?fbclid=IwAR3QPCcpM07G1gDhhaNeJyfuu7heU6vcI4O52eoLGBRB49CVzJYOR_5YPAE
  13. The MONA section is my favorite part of this show. I love how Jimmy just went into it and the rest of the band picked up on it and turned it into a two minute song. i have to imagine it surprised them a bit, given it's not typically what Jimmy would play after his Heartbreaker solo, but they went with it like it was planned all along.
  14. I don't know if EV will clean it up, but I did. Here's a sample. If anyone wants the full show, send me a message:
  15. Thanks for the info. Is that the only time they played it? I looked online but couldn't find any other instances of them doing that song.
  16. Anyone know the name of the song they do when the rest of the band joins in after the end of Jimmy's solo in Heartbreaker?
  17. No problem. I'm glad people are enjoying the remaster enough to leave comments about it.
  18. For what it's worth, gibsonfan159 didn't do the remaster, I did. Glad you enjoyed it.
  19. Bootledz has a list of his favorite releases of each show. He's heard most of what's available on CD, so his site is a good resource for these kinds of questions: http://www.bootledz.com/mypicks.htm
  20. in addition to snowboards, apparently there are sneakers coming out, too: http://ultimateclassicrock.com/led-zeppelin-vans-sneakers/
  21. Agreed. I think there's some really good playing that was hidden before by the low quality of the audio. Hopefully improving the sound will improve the reputation of the show.
  22. The Bootledz site has a tons of info on the various DVD releases: http://www.bootledz.com/video/videography.htm
  23. Thanks to everyone who posted. I'm glad to hear people are enjoying this. To anyone who asked for the link, check you messages.
  24. Glad you enjoyed it. Check your messages for a link to the full version.
  25. I thought about that, but it seemed strange that Robert would publicly announce that Jimmy's a junkie (assuming "sleeping" and "being on the nod" are the same things.)
