  1. I've been on an Aerosmith kick for the past 2 days running... now playing: "Back in the Saddle"
  2. Reading Miss Pamela's book, I got the impression she was very romantic and tender-hearted. She definitely did fall in love with the men she was involved with. Anyway, I hope she's doing well. She was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple years ago; I wish her the best. She seems like a wonderful person.
  3. I thought Lori was involved with someone else in Deep Purple. She had a serious relationship with... I can't remember the guy's name. Was there a second guitarist in the band during the late 70's?
  4. Clearly. It's always the women's fault, our boys can do no wrong.
  5. Maybe we shouldn't be too judgmental of Lori's mom - she was a struggling single mother trying to raise, IIRC, three daughters. Lori has said that her mother was overwhelmed with the more serious problems her sisters were having, being arrested for grand theft auto and things like that.
  6. Jimmy called Miss Pamela a bimbo? Harsh. She seems like such a charming woman. Did he call her this in public and what was the provocation - her first book?
  7. We're having a "cold snap" - it's dipped way down into the mid-70's (F), so my fellow citizens have brought out their winter coats and sweaters. Wimps.
  8. I think it's amusing all the speculation that has arisen over the groovy, caftan-wearing lady in the audience. A storyline has almost emerged about how she's gazing with love at Robert and that they were secret lovers or something. How do we know who or what she was looking at?! She could have been tripping on acid and gazing with wonder at the leaping pink elephants. To me, she was just someone in the crowd who was loving the music. [this isn't a knock on Mr. Jones' question, I was referring more to the elaborate speculation about this girl on a photo thread or two] And it makes me wonder: did semi-featured folks like caftan lady and the drunk girl looking for tickets (my personal favorite) have to sign releases for the original film and/or DVD?
  9. Black Dawg, how great is "Ocean Rain"?! Amazing. They should do one of those "Classic Albums: The Making of..." documentaries on it.
  10. A smokin' hot duet called "Temptation" recorded live by Jarvis Cocker and Beth Ditto. It's a cover of the old Heaven 17 song, not that it's recognisable as such. Beth Ditto has a voice that could take the varnish off your nails, but in a good way.
  11. Thank you, Steve. That house was quite astonishing.
  12. Ghost Town: quite enjoyable, despite the familiar plot. Surprised it hasn't done well at the box office. Nights in Rodanthe: Ouch. The cinematic equivalent of a romance novel unfortunately, despite strong performances from the leads Richard Gere, Diane Lane, and a beautiful Jaguar XK.
  13. How old was Zoe Bonham when her dad died? I wonder why the Murfet account doesn't mention her. P.S. One mo' thing: I think that's the only time I've heard claims that JPJ was a womanizer.
  14. If anyone is interested (besides moi), the crop circle in question appeared in 1990 in the Alton Barnes area, near Milk Hill. It's truly spectacular: http://www.cropcircleship.com/wiki/Alton_Barnes_1990
  15. The new debut album by Blind Pilot, esp. the song "One Red Thread" which is so haunting. This is the Blind Pilot from Portland, Oregon BTW; I understand there is a UK group of the same name. If you're an Elliott Smith fan, you'd like this album very much. It's similarly very melodic, mostly acoustic and tends toward the tense and melancholy.
  16. I keep listening to Sheryl Crow's version of "The First Cut is the Deepest" over and over today, and am probably annoying the f*$k out of my co-workers
  17. Stunning photos, Knebby -- thank you very much for sharing!
  18. Look at all the disinterested little babies up front! That's adorable.
  19. I think our new friend might be referring to Jimmy in make-up on the Physical Graffiti album cover. That's the only time I can remember him appearing in drag.
  20. What did Blake write that made Jimmy so angry? And uh... Blake didn't actually kneel down, did he? [cringes]
  21. Docron, is Robert singing on the track or is it an instrumental?
  22. Agreed. These last couple o' pages have sent the needle on the Sexy meter into the red
  23. Phwoah - sharp-dressed man. I'm loving that ... brooch or whatever you'd call it for a man. Looks like a crystal sceptre or something? Intriguing.
  24. Mary Wilson is a sassy broad (in the finest sense of that word!). I wonder what she said to make Jimmy laugh so hard
