  1. Ah interesting. I know you Kiwis and Aussies have a big rivalry in general and especially in sport (even if it is mostly friendly) but I would have kind of expected you to want to team up with your Aussie neighbours and hope they stick it up the Poms. It's a surprise, but a nice one. By the way, I've been to both countries (including Auckland)and they are both great. Kept getting surly looks from the Aboriginals and Maories though. Dunno why. I didn't do anything.
  2. I woke up this morning thinking the weather would have saved the Aussies and given them a draw. Didn't expect it to have ended so quickly. Wow. Nice of you Aussies to take it on the chin but of course it ain't over yet. By the way who do Kiwis cheer for in the Ashes?
  3. Howdy Mandy I don't know if I should say "nice one" that you have a full time job now. Work sucks to me. Yes you are dead right. Some of the classics ARE boring. I have a copy of Frankenstein on the shelf that I don't think I'll have the will to start nevermind finish. I remember in school that we read A Christmas Carol. I think I liked it. Better than suffering Shakespeare at any rate. Man, that was torture.
  4. A draw then. Not bad considering England had a bad first day at the office. A decent recovery all in all.
  5. ^ I've always thought about reading Moby Dick but I don't think I will now. Bram Stoker's Dracula bored the pants off me during the middle 200 pages. By the way, hello Mandy. I don't see you around much these days.
  6. You think the English are just fair weather supporters? I wouldn't say that. The England football team for example has won bugger all for over 40 years yet they are still the best supported team at any of the World Cups. Just look at the amount of England fans who follow the team all over the world compared to others and even when the England cricket team was hopeless the Barmy Army still turned up. I think it's pretty normal. There are other countries that are even worse. You should see what the Italian press said about Italy's pathetic World Cup and didn't a Columbian footballer get shot and killed for an own goal? Nice of you to say that but I've seen some gutless displays over the years. I rememeber 5-0 whitewashings in cricket. Really? You think Australia will win the footie World Cup at some stage? I don't, sorry. No chance. England won't reach another final again haha.
  7. I don't know why I love this film so much...................but I do.
  8. I think the Ashes mean more to the average Aussie than they do to the average English person. Cricket is a LONG way behind football in the hearts of the folks here. Having said that its still a big sporting contest. I haven't got a clue who is going to win as I don't follow cricket greatly. It's been a long time since England won the Ashes 'over there' so I'm guessing that long run will continue. Mind you, a draw in the series will mean England will retain them so who knows.
  9. That was BEFORE Led Zeppelin were formed with the lineup we know it today and BEFORE Led Zeppelin went on to totally surpass The Who in global success and reverence.
  10. Rebecca Breeds from Aussie soap Home and Away is a little cutie. Hard to believe that Rebecca Breeds is 23. She still looks like a teenager. Here's a bunch of other cuties from Home and Away (including Rebecca).
  11. I said 'some' guys in those groups were clearly bitter and jealous over Zep coming out of nowhere and stealing 'their thunder'. We know that Bonzo and Moonie were mates. That may be true now but back then? Nah. Even Robert and Roger get on well now but they didn't have much to do with each other 40 years ago, although Robert didn't have a problem with Roger and was a big fan of The Who. I don't think Roger enjoyed Robert coming along and doing the whole blonde long haired rock god act bigger and better than he did it. However, even Pete Townshend said in a relatively recent (2007) interview that he hasn't liked a single thing that Led Zeppelin ever did and he even admitted it might be down to jealousy. In a late 1980s copy of Kerrang Townshend was interviewed and he dismissed Led Zep, basically claiming it was The Who which were the godfathers of heavy metal and Townshend even had the inaccurate temerity to claim that Live at Leeds came out before Led Zep had even released their first album. In fact Led Zep were starting working on their 3rd album around the time Live At Leed came out and LZ II had already been a masive number one album. Jack Bruce also more or less said the same thing. He got narked over the attention the Zeppelin reunion got compared to the Cream reunion. Im sure 40 years ago some of the Cream guys were even more frustrated about Zep's success. It's understandable, especially after Cream crashed and burned and didn't go far. I disagree. I can without doubt certainly see why bands like The Who and the Stones (and even moreso Cream) would have been miffed at Zeppelin. Zeppelin were bigger and better than all of them and what's more they were "johnny come lateleys" who came up behind them and sprinted past them way in front. That's why The Beatles never suffered from the same complex. LZ were never bigger than the Beatles (despite smashing many of their attendance records) and I don't think I have ever read even one sniping comment from any Beatle. John Lennon admired LZ and so did Paul. Bonzo was one of Paul's favourite drummers, he namechecked Page in one of his songs and a few years ago when Paul was messing around doing some project he said what he was doing was good but nothing great. He said "it's not exactly Led Zeppelin but it's still good". None of The Beatles had a problem with LZ. Some of the guys in The Who, Stones and Cream did and that's a fact not just an opinion. I sometimes wonder what else they might have said in private. You don't really think The Stones and The Who actually ENJOYED Led Zeppelin selling more albums and playing to bigger crowds than them do you? The Who NEVER had a US number one album and only ever had ONE number one album in the UK. Led Zeppelin had EIGHT number one albums on the spin in the UK as well as many number one albums in the USA. Why WOULDN'T Pete Townshend (at least) be pissed off about that? Of course he was fucking jealous, mate.
  12. You'll notice that with the bands Led Zeppelin surpassed in popularity (The Stones The Who, Cream) they seemed to have a downer on Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin got near to, but didn't surpass, the Beatles and for the most part the Beatles guys didn't have a downer on Zeppelin. They weren't bitter or unappreciative about Zep like the other groups. Some of the guys in The Who, Stones and Cream couldn't handle the fact that Zeppelin seemed to come out of nowhere and almost immediately became bigger and better than them and this bitterness crept in. Jealousy was a factor I'm pretty sure. These newcomer 'upstarts' and their Led Zep II album keeping the Stones Let It Bleed from the number one spot is going to have an effect, especially when Zep also went on to play to greater live demand as well. I think Zeppelin's almost effortless rise to superstardom in just over a year after they formed really got under the skin of some of them. To go from not existing as a group to then knocking the two biggest and established bands in the world off their perch (Abbey Road and Let It Bleed from the Beatles and Stones respectively in December 1969) in less than 18 months must have been hard to accept although the Beatles never suffered any inferiority complex.
  13. I loves me some Jo Joyner from Eastenders. My favourite woman on t.v.
  14. LOL, yeah good point. I didn't think of that. Fay Wray in the original King Kong wasn't exactly chunky either. I must say Naomi Watts is very beautiful and great looking for her age (she's 42 now).
  15. Naomi Watts in King Kong was as cute as a button (even if way too thin for my tastes).
  16. Did he? I haven't seen him in too much apart from Due South. I saw him in a t.v remake of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. He sings a bit too.
  17. Blimey. How did I miss that? It's not been removed. Does this mean this thread can get a little raunchier? Nah, probably not.
  18. Watching the re-runs of Due South on BBC2. Always loved that series. Any other fans here?
  19. Cool. I think that many (maybe even most?) 'men' prefer their women to look like women and not like the Hollywood (or magazine) type anorexics/thin gals. We don't care about a bit of tummy or thigh fat/flab. Just more to grab hold of if you ask me. Namitha would probably be called 'fat' over in Hollywood but she's just 'normal' in body shape to me. Anyway, Merry Christmas. Oooops it's not Christmas yet but who cares. What a nice big present to unwrap.
  20. More of the Indian Goddess.
  21. Voluptuous Indian actress Namitha. Exotic Goddess.:
  22. Mmmmmm lovely. Ta. You know what? Helen Mirren is still even hot today and yep those beauties are real.
  23. Exanti from Poland. If you want to see her in 'all her glory' (I could post THOSE pics here) just Google "Exanti big boobs" and prepare to get yer eyes poked out. Wish I had a 3D computer!
  24. LOL, no it's a pay site. There are other (free) sites that I frequent more. Hey, a man has to have his dose of natural mature boobies now and then. You don't get to see them in The Sun. Everything these days seems to be skinny 18 year olds or horible silicone enhanced plastic fakes (Jordan anyone?). I just loves me some Exanti.
  25. Enough of this crap. Lets have some big natural knockers. What I could do between those!!
